@siddartha1012

Hi there, I was wondering if the someone can provide the SPJAT exam dates for Dubai branch in the month of May, Looking forwards for a reply ASAP.

Hi! If you wish to take the SPJAT from DUbai, you will need to submit your application for the program first. If shortlisted, based on other parameters you will be contacted for the test .

@NeelVora

I have 81% in SSC , 53 in HSC and 53% in my graduation. Can i get a top B school?

Hi!

For SPJain, normally we select candidates with high academic performance only. However, you may still apply and we will consider your overall profile including previous academic records, relevant work experience, extra-curricular activities , aptitude test scores etc.

Hi !

I 'm more interested to know about the rankings of SPJain - dxb-sg-aus. In the previous yrs, the bschool was ranked among Top 100 but of late its nowhere on the rankings . Besides this, over the last 5 yrs, the institute has removed upto 5 specializations (Finance & Investment banking, wealth management, HR management, Consulting & Retail management) . In a market such as Dubai, I believe Finance & retailing play pivotal role for 2 reasons - people have money & they love to shop

I have 2 questions for you :-

1. Why is SP jain not on the rankings anymore ?
2. Why have so many vital specializations been removed from the curriculum ? (leaving only 3 now)

Hi,

I'll be having 3 years of Full Time Work Experience in August. Do I have a chance if I apply for Sept'13 intake?

Hi!!

I am really interested to join your Global MBA program.I am presently working as a navigating officer in the merchant navy.I was trained and sponsored by a shipping company right after completion of my high school precisely from Jul 2007. I have been a part of the organization from the past 6 years now.Its been 2 years since my completion of graduation. And before that I worked full time as a training officer sailing on international waters with the same company for almost 2 and a half years as part of my graduation.Would you encourage me to apply for the Sep'13 intake????

Hi!

Yes, sadly we didnot make it to the FT Global MBA 2013 ranking this year. FT changed various criteria last minute and it went against us. One new one going forward is that we need to be accredited by EQUIS or AACSB. Currently, we are not by either but are working towards the same on a war footing

and hope to be back on it soon.

As for our specialisations, we are constantly upgrading our curriculum to ensure our students get the best for what they are putting in. In a bid to keep up with the market requirements and demands from recruiters we need to make changes and all that is done is in the interest of students. So you will keep seeing us withdraw some specialisations, or merge some or may be add some new specialisations each year. For now, we have 4 specialisations on offer-

1. Contemporary Marketing Management (CMM)

2. Information Technology Management (ITM)

3.Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management (GLSCM)

4. Investment Banking and Wealth Management (IBWM)

Out of these, the IBWM specialisation is not being offered in the September intake this year. This will be on offer for the January 2014 intake together with the others.

Hi! For September 2013 intake, we need the candidate to have completed a minimum of 3 years work experience by 31st August 2013, so you do qualify to apply.

Hi! If you were working on a full time basis, the experience will be considered as full time. Would suggest that you submit your application and explain very clearly the exact duration of your work along with breaks if any. There is a section for 'additional information' in your application form where you can explain all this in detail. Also, for your work, you should have supportings to prove the tenure.

HI,

When will the Evaluation round (26/05) results be out?

Hi,

I am looking forward to applying for GMBA with my specialization in Information Technology. Also, I want my last 4 months in the 1-year course to be in Singapore. Which intake should I apply for - January, April or September ? Or is it that I can opt for my preferences in all the intakes ? Please let me know soon as it decides my entire plan.

Thanks,
Rahul

hi! Yes, we would recommend you to apply for the MGB program. You will need to take the GMAt or SPJain aptitude test , this can even be taken once you have submitted your application form. Application needs to submitted online.

@shwetavijlani

Hi saket10, Please find below your answers: 1. 3 years of minimum work experience is required but if a candidate have 2 years of work experience can also apply. 2. About 100 participants in each campus 3. S P Jain requires aptitude test scores, usually the school require GMAT or CAT. If candidate have not taken either and are not planning to, they must take an aptitude test conducted by S P Jain (SPJAT). Even if the candidate has taken the GMAT or CAT exam, they may also take the SPJAT. S P Jain accepts the best score. Though school consider the overall profile of the candidate, it is rare for them to admit participants with a GMAT of less than 650 or CAT / SPJAT of less than 80 percentile. Feel free to post any other query that you might have. Cheers!

Thanks Shweta but pls note for GMBA, a minimum of 3 years work experience is mandatory. for candidates with lesser work exp. we recommend the MGB program.

Hi! For Sept 2013 intake, the IT specialisation will commence from Dubai first. For Jan 2014, it may start from Singapore . However this should not really matter when you are planning your study. Is there any particular reason you want to start from Singapore first?

Hi..thanks for your reply..I do not want Singapore as the first location, I want to study in Singapore during the last 4 months of my course. I cant start with either Dubai or Sydney, not an issue. For that, and if I take IT as my specialization, which intake should I plan to apply for.

The reason I am asking is, I want to give GMAT again for a better score and if I have to apply in Sep intake, then I have to take the exam by July 20, 2013 - so I have to plan immediately as I am working in an IT company and I would require few days' leave from work in order to prepare for the exam.

I have spoken to alumni people and I came to know that the campus placements mostly place you at the same location where you are during the last 4 months, and I would prefer a job in Singapore as opposed to Dubai or Sydney.
