2) Can u provide some tips/info before appearing in the Evaluation , esp if i plant to apply for Consulting stream. I have a 4.5 yr work exp in IT and Techno-functional Consulting.
@rutty_bharucha I have applied for SPJAT. In the application form i was given choice for selecting the location and i gave as Chennai, but in the below link only Mumbai is the only location for 10th March. Can you confirm if the test will be conducted in Chennai?
I was given an admit offer but only in the non placement category. But i chose to be put in waitlist in the placement category. Any idea when adcom will get back to me on final decision? I sent them the email stating to put me on waitlist on Jan 30th. Will i have to wait till the end of the admissions cycle?

hi! Yes, this is the final aptitude test round for May 2013 intake and will be followed by the evaluation (for students who meet our cut off mark) on the same day in Mumbai.

Hi! Yes, it is better if you apply now as this will expedite the process . Your aptitude test score will be mapped to your application and you will then be informed whether you qualify for the evaluation. For consulting Management, we prefer having candidates with relevant experience and knowledge.
@rutty_bharuchaHey,What do you have to say about fall in rankings of SPJ in FT's rankings list?What were the reasons you think have contributed to this continuous fall in rankings from 68 to 91 and removed this year?Further, what are the counter steps that SPJ is planning to take to refurbish its international ranking?Above information is very important and would be better if someone officially clarifies....Thanks
The FT Global MBA 2013 ranking is out and sadly this time we did not make it. FT changed various criteria last minute and it went against us. One new one going forward is that we need to be accredited by EQUIS or AACSB. Currently, we are not by either but are working towards the same on a war footing and hope to be back on it soon.

hi! The aptitude test round on 10th March is going to be followed by evaluations on the same day for students who clear the aptitude test round and evaluations are only held in Mumbai. So we are not having the test at any other city.

hi! This waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be by the Admissions Committee. However there is no fixed time frame as to when this happens. The latest you would have to wait to know your status would be mid-March 2013.

I submitted my application on 11 feb.
when wld the results be out and which evaluation dates wld be considered for us.will the 24 feb one or the 10 mar one.
the other clarification wanted from you is that the evaluation completes in one day or a candidate has to be present for both days.just speculation on days as i see 23/24 feb as two days of evaluation process.
@rutty_bharucha Hi Rutty, Just a few queries which I hope you can help me with : 1) I called up the Mumbai Office a few days ago and they said that applications for the Sep intake will begin in June. However you've mentioned April in your posts above.......Is it confirmed for April? 2) When will the last round of evaluations f0or the May intake be held? The website shows March 10, but the last date for applications shows March 20.... 3) With regards to your post #10105 (accredition by EQUIS or AACSB)....how long is that likely to take? Thanks!!!

How much do recruiters consider the rankings, most importantly the highly recognized FT rankings?
In what way will the accredition by EQUIS or AACSB help SPJ in future?
Can you please let us know the criterion on which do you think SPJ was not able to compete with other B-schools and that lead to its fall-out from FT rankings?

hi@shixiethis was d reply i had given to another guy who had similar questions...hope this helps...Its after the post application process where the real work starts. I won't call it tough but yes it is pretty competitive . I mean they do chuck out some people right after the first interview round.Essays is easy . you got to sum it all in around 100-150 words . You will get two essays , don't worry topic is easy not very vague topics. For example I got 'A person who has influenced you in your personal or professional life' and the second topic I am not able to recall.For the PI round they will ask some question on the basis of your educational background, pretty easy ones not really very technical like since I am an economics graduate they asked me inflation, deflation and the components of GDP. They might ask about your work exp. Why you want to this program. And yeah the first question they will ask you is to give a brief intro about yourself. If you have work exp. Do try to integrate more and more of it when you explain them about yourself.The case studies are based on the specialization you are choosing. Truly no need at all to prepare for the case study, cause they don't want you to use Mc Kinsey analysis models etc, all they are looking for is what you think should be the answer in general . So there is no need at all to prepare for the Case study analysis. Do ping me if you need any other help..Best of luck.. ☺P.S: there are a bunch of interviewers and some of them are realy looking forward to grill the candidates. According to one of the guys it's a nazis camp inside the interview room. So it depends on your luck if you get an easy interview like I did or a tough one.Quote

inquiring because i recvd a mail from spjain that i dont meet their cutoffs bt i have applied with gmat score of 630 as well and even portal says results about shortlist wld be updated shortly.
