I have got an admit today after 27 jan Evaluations for MGB CMM.
@rutty_bharucha - I would like to know about how I could apply for scholarships now. Also, I believe I clear 3-4 points in the criteria mentioned in site. Looking fwd to hear frm u.
@Vivks Hi the paatern is same as given in the sample which i think rutty or someone shared in the forum. Aptitude with options( consisting of patterns), Mathematics with options, IQ (mathematics without options), English (one para), General knowledge (remember there is a double negative marking on this). Be sharp and quick as it is only 1 hour exam. Managing the paper and attempting maximum questions is the key. Practice some pattern questions if you find them tough. That is it

@deekshaaneja I did not get a reply yet, but I reached out to some alumni, quoting them here as it might help people:
This is from someone who graduated last year (things might have changed since then):
"As far as packages are concerned, the packages at SPJ will definitely be on the lower side than NTU. Even what you read on the websites of SPJ will be a bit inflated figure than the actual. But in my opinion, they will be higher than any other Indian Schools of the same level.
Life is on the Ok side. Because in Dubai ( and I have heard the same for Sydney) the campuses are very far from the city.
The quality of rooms is pretty ok. They stuff 3-4 people in smaller rooms. Thats the main problem. The load of work is also pretty hectic. For Singapore, the location is not a problem since the city is itself small enough to be covered in a n hour or so. The food is not served by the college. In Dubai there are loads of restaurants in and around the lcoation of the hostel. So thats not much of an issue. In Singapore there is an in house canteen. I liked the food, but nothign out of the world. For me it cost me USD 35000. They do offer scholarships but they are very few and little. If you do opt in for non placement category you may get a higher scholarship, but not apart form that."
From a current student:
"The faculty comprises mostly of visiting profs from SPJIMR, ISB, other colleges from around the world and industry experts. So the quality of faculty is great. However, I am not very positive about placements. You may easily get a job of arnd 11-12 L pa but in case if you are already earning in that range then expecting a job with salary of 15+ would be tough. I am personally facing this issue..:"

I do see a lot of potential in this program, but if you are ultimately going to get a job in India (not that it's a bad thing), why spend Rs. 30-40 Lakh, especially when 90% of class is similar to what you have in India as far as diversity goes. If 30-40 lakh is not a big deal for you, then it's a good program!
If they can somehow develop a good reputation in Singapore to be able to place students there, then this program is well positioned to become a top MBA program (because of its unique nature).
They should probably reduce the fees etc. to at least half for a couple of years to attract better students, which will result in a better class profile, better ranking, better alumni base and a momentum that they could build upon. I feel they are trying to monetize it too quick, and focusing too much on just marketing the program!
If you are ready to spend 30-40 lakh, and have a GMAT score of 700+, with 3-4 years of work ex, I'd suggest looking at US business schools in rank 30-50, you will at least get a diverse experience, and possibility of working in global environment. Visa in US is a problem, but most people do end up managing it!
Advantages:
- Unique model
- Good faculty
- SP Jain brand name (well established in India)
- Decent class profile
Areas of concern:
- Relatively high cost (rs. 30-40 lakh)
- Placements and general reputation in Singapore for jobs
- Not a very comfortable life because hostels are far away from the campus and they put 3-4 people in small rooms
- Uncertainty over reception in different countries and competition with local B Schools
Not sure what you gain by living and studying in Sydney when 90% of your class is Indian!

@SETHI_1986 : Thanks Sethi..I gt the sample paper from SP Jain's Website..Hw many attempts will be wise..Do u rem hw many u had made.
CAN ANYONE LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE EXPECTED SALARY PACKAGES AFTER MGB???
I AM A NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY PASSOUT, WILL IT HELP ME??
@MBAgyan2012 :
Quite confusing in terms of budgeting.
one person says the cost is around $ 35000, ie. almost 18 lac. (Perhaps he got scholarship)
one says the cost can reach up to 40 lac.
The website says the cost is $ 45000, which is almost 24 lac.
Even if one includes Food and travelling cost, would it come to be around 16 lacs? Very Doubtful. We are not going for a world tour.
Can anyone share precise budget required for the program? Keepin in my that I don't intend to live a pretty luxurious life out there.
@hramkhor KEEP IN MIND THAT THE APPROXIMATE EXPENSE FOR 12 MONTHS INCLUDING TICKETS AND OTHER RECREATIONS AND ALL SHALL BE AROUND 25 LACS. APART FROM THAT THERE SHALL BE ANOTHER EXPENSE OF AROUD 5 LAKHS DEPENDING UPON WHERE YOU SHALL INTERN AND HOW MUCH DO U SPEND.
