Hey guys, I took the SPJAT yesterday.I also had a chance to interact with the invigilators from SP Jain Global.Now according to them, with my work ex( 18 months as a programmer), they expect a package of 8-10lac INR it seems(average) and for freshers around 6 lac INR.But then again these figures are speculative and the actual placements for the MGB batch has not taken place.About the exam, I found the IQ section to be quite difficult as time was limited and the answers had to be written and not selected.ALL IN GODS HANDS NOW!!!@rutty_bharucha IS there a sectional cutoff in SPJAT? Would be much oblidged if you could enlighten us on the same.

are you sure spjat 20th jan result is out? when was your interview? can you also give us an idea of the case study that you were asked for the evaluation process?
The case was somewhat vague. It was about woodland (the apparel and footwear company). It has over 200 stores in india and wants to start 7large format stores.. It's keen on increasing its apparel sales. Wants to make it 50% of turn over. The company currently deals with mens apparel only. The company wants to venture into kids apparel. Should woodland enter into kids apparel segment? Substantial with 3 points.
My analysis:
Prerequisites of entering the new market:
1)sell kids apparel only in large format stores. ( invest less money on inventory and gauge consumer response)
2) sell kids apparel under a new brand name.
3) hire female personnel as mostly women accompany their children in buying clothing.. Further.. It will be suitable for catering to young girls also.
Reasons why kids apparel is a good segment to foray into;
1) Enables to company to further use its existing dealer network..
2) india is a young country.. 50% population is less than 25. Population won't normalise until 2040
3) Company can enter woman's apparel and establish itself as complete family store for apparel and footwear..
@shixie Guys any idea when SPjat result for Jan 20 will be out .. I applied for Gmba but one of my friend who applied for MGB got the mail yesterday itself that he could not clear SPjat and has to give again !!!
@shixie - Quite strange I was thinking the results will be out for one and all at the same time. Also I was in a state of mind that the results of SPJAT comes out real quick. Anyways all the best and keep updating if anybody receives a mail who applied for GMBA
@rutty_bharucha Please share if you have any info when we can receive the mail regarding the evaluations for spjat held on 20th jan 2013. I just want to see the confirmation mail and prepare hard for the interviews and GDs. Hoping to get the confirmation on the written exam. And yes really excited to join this unique program (GMBA)
