I underwent my evaluation at Mumbai and on 5th September 2012 I checked the online status. The msg is as follows:
"

Application Status

STUDENTS ON THE OFFER LIST POST THE EVALUATION

Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapore-Sydney창€™s GMBA program and going through our evaluation process. Congratulations! You are one of the very select few that have done well for themselves and are being offered admission into our program. We look forward to you joining our program. "
From the above it seems that I have been offered a seat in the course, but I haven't yet received a mail regarding the same. I wanted to know what is the course of action that I'm now supposed to follow. During my conversation with an ex-student during the evaluation, I was told that the fees for blocking my seat has to be paid within 8 days. Kindly advise the course of action.
My application No. is : GLSCM - 89039
Regards,
Mayank Ashok

Hi Rutty,

Few questions

1. Why Australia? Dubai and Singapore wasn't sufficient for Global exposure?

Australia is expensive , 4 months in australia will add aditional burden on student and eventually will increase cost of course.

2. Why there is no clear cut deadline of admission closure for a particular intake(i think its was end august first and then extended to sept as well)? Are the number of students who are applying for this course has decreased? please correct me i am wrong

3. Now the fees is so high that people trying to avoid this course.Rupee is declining like anything in comparison to dollar.Plus there are certain hidden costs like transaction cost by banks ,VISA cancellation cost etc. What steps SP Jain taking to make this coarse still value for money? As i have read so much, that this coarse is very good value for many in various forums.

Thanks

hi! can i get more details about MGB?

Hi Rutty,

I got an offer for admission in the Dec 2012 intake.!

Before confirming my seat, I had a query. I understand that the accomodation in all 3 cities in residential and on a shared basis. Around 4 people are housed in a room.

Due to medical reasons, I would prefer to opt for a single accomodation if that is permissible.

Please let me know whether this can be done and whether any extra payment needs to be done for it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rutty
are interviews conducted over phone or skype? I am based in US as of now.

Thanks
amar

How to go about this process? As we need to also attest the degree by UNiversity, ministry of external affairs, State Notary...please help as its seems quite a Cumbersome process

Exam was quite good..not sure if I will meet the cutoffs, only time will tell. That first section of diagrams I attempted only 2, should get both right. Logic and reading comprehension should get all correct. Maths attempted 6, should get all correct. IQ attempted 3, should get all correct. And GK I attempted 9 and should get all correct. What about you?

Attempted 12 in GK(11 should be right),8 in Numeracy.Logic took a lot of time but completed it,3 in IQ,attempted all in RC,not sure about DR..Numeracy was better this time..this isn't my first attempt.hope for the best.
What was the negative marking in GK..I saw 2 marks as far as i remember.

Guess if both our estimations are right, you will get a slightly higher score than me :)..negative marking was 2 marks in GK that's right. I guess you're for GMBA right, I am applying for MGB so let's see.
If I have got my estimate of correct answers right, do you think that will be a sufficient score to get shortlisted for the next stage?

Yes for GMBA.
It all depends on cut-off whether one can make the 75 percentile.
and how much was the grading per question for GK..?
Your attempt of questions looks convincing for a call.Hope for the best. :)

It was one mark for a correct answer and 2 marks for an incorrect answer. Hoping to get a call for MGB since I assume the demand is a bit less compared to GMBA as the course starts in November!

And good luck to you too. If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you get a call last time?

Hi!

Global exposure is one of the key highlights of the GMBA program and we want our students to make the most out of this program and in this bid to add to their international exposure we have included Sydney as part of the GMBA program. Sydney is a thriving economic and commercial hub and is rated among the top cities in the world for economic innovation.

The Institute realizes the additional cost burden and as part of its endeavor to help students we are providing assistance to the first batch of students going to the Sydney campus. Students are provided food subsidy during their stay at Australia and they are also allowed to defer a part of their fee payment to a later date.

The extension has been made on requests received from students who have not been able to submit their application due to their pending GMAT scores or such other reasons.
