[OFFICIAL] SP Jain School of Global Management (SPJSGM) | Dubai, Singapore, Sydney: MGB & Global MBA - Admissions 2024-26

Hi!

Our cut-off for GMAt is 650 and if your score is below that you would be required to take another test. In your case too, i guess your score is below this cut-off mark cause of which you have been asked to appear for the SPJAT.

Hi Rutty

I have received a mail from SP Jain that I have been shortlisted for second round ,but have to appear for the aptitude test on 2nd oct as I have no score on record .But the thing is I have applied my application with my GMAT score which is not great ,but still I have this email saying that I have no score on record .....Pls help .

Can't you consider my gmat score & call me for evaluations directly on 3rd oct .

Thanks

hi!

Sorry but we are not very clear about what you mean when you say you are looking at a combination of SM and IT. The GMBA allows you to take up any one specialisation only.

Since the admissions close today, I would recommend you to submit your application, if short listed for evaluation the panel will guide you into the specialization you are best suited for.

Hi Rutty / Smitha,

I have 10 years experience in services and have a GMAT of 660. Looking at he average experience of the pas batch of Global MBA, mine is way more than it. However, i could find a few specializations that really interest me that i could not get in any other one year MBA program in India and around.

My question is how can a combination of Services management and IT management add value to my current profile of Product Manager for online education products.

Would appreciate if you could reply soon since i today only one past alumnus of global MBA recommended this programme to me and i have only 3 days to apply?

Also, i'm interested in applying for scholarship. Please suggest what to do.

Regards,
hI!

we have received this as a mail from you on gmba id too. pLs check your mail, we have already replied to you there.

Hi Rutty

Have pretty much the same concerns. Can you please shed some light on the same here as well?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rutty
I also wish to know the reply to these concerns, as I have also applied for GMBA.
It will be very nice of you if you can post your reply from email over here.

Thank you.

Dear Rutty Bharucha, I have the same concerns mentioned below. Please give us the details in this thread.

TIA!

Hi Rutty/Swetha

This is my first post in pagalguy. Have been following this thread for the last couple of weeks. I have been selected for the Nov 2010 intake. Can you please clarify the following queries.

- Can we sent the initial deposit by a wireless transaction as well. If yes, please provide the account details.

- Has the last date for scholarship also been shifted from September 30th as the screening for scholarships were scheduled to start only after getting all the applications. ( by sep 30th all the applications won't be ready as the end date has changed). Is it possible to know if I got scholarship before making the initial payment as the last date has been changed.

- As 18 Lakhs is a lot of money, I am really concerned of the degree (not placements.. 😃 ..) that we get after we finish the course. I am a bit confused by an Australian degree being given as the campus in Australia is scheduled to begin only by 2012, after we pass out. This was a concern not only for me but a few others as well. Can you please provide me a soft copy of the degree we would be receiving at the end of the course. That would really allay our fears.

- Will we be recieving 2 degrees at the end of the course. Heard that our earlier batches received a certificate from SP Jain, Dubai and Sp Jain, Mumbai. Will we also get these 2 certificates, one from Australia and other from Sp Jain, Mumbai.

- I visited the site for department of NSW, and noticed that the lincense for SP Jain Australia will expire in 2014. What happens to our degree after that?

- Are we the first batch to get this Austrailian degree?

Thanks and Regards

Hey can you post the reply you got in the email here?

1.I opted out of placement early in the placement season, so I had a 3rd party view of the whole process. Though I completely agree that the college has no obligation to 'place' a single student, I think the SPJCM placement cell does not function properly. It's not that they dont work hard, it's that they just dont have the right industry contacts. My junior batch had a very very slow placement season even though market recruitment have gone up significantly since I graduated.
2) The college makes you sign a placement rules letter after you join. This should be part of the joining docket for more transparency. If you don't sign this letter you cannot apply for placements. A copy of this signed letter is not kept with students, though it is available to those who ask to see it. One of the clauses in this letter is that if you apply to a company, and that company accepts you after interviews you cannot reject the company if it offers you more than 6Lpa salary (for India location). I am not saying this is an unfair rule, just that you are made to sign this after you join college and a copy of this letter is not left with you for ready reference.
3) The placement cell cannot help those with more than 5 years of pre MBA experience. The cell functions optimally for those with 2/3 years experience. I know one student (7 yrs exp) who has exceptional aptitude and experience who could not be referred to a suitable job till daate

Pls clarify on the above points ,spl the last one as I have more than 5yrs exp & cannot take a risk with my carreer at this point of time .

Thanks

Hi!

SPJain has created a name for itself in foreign shores, first it was Dubai, then Singapore and now Australia. S P Jain Center of Management is now registered as a higher education institution and all S P Jain programs are accredited by the Department of Education, New South Wales, Australia. Australia has set up high standards for international Institutions planning to set up their campus there, so if SPJain has managed to register itself there, it by itself speaks of our quality.
Henceforth students will only get one degree. The degree at the end of the program will be an Australian degree, awarded by S P Jain Center of Management, Australia stating Master of Business Administration (Global) (with the specialization mentioned).
All institutions get accredited initially for a period of 5 years after which it gets renewed. However, the degree given in 2011 is for ever, irrespective of renewal of the accreditation.

Hi Rutty,
I have been selected for GMBA Nov 2010 intake. I have a few question though. I am really interested in joining SP Jain GMBA. So it would be great if you can answer the below questions ASAP as the payment date is coming near :)

I have a total experince of 5 years. And to spend 16 to 17 lacs on education at this point in my carreer is a big decision for me. Please reply. Thanking in advance.

1. What is the %breakup of students in terms of work ex?
2. Since the general trend in India for companies is to recruit students with 2 to 3 years of experience, what placement services does SP Jain provide to students with 5+ years work ex and is the average package higher than that for a fresher or 2+ work ex students?
3. Since SP Jain has students from South East Asia and Dubai as well and Indian students can stay at most for 1 month after completion of course on student visa how many Indian students are placed in Singapore and Dubai?
4. Do the companies in Dubai and South East Asia prefer native students more as many Indian students after a certain period of time would prefer to go back to India and work?
5. Does GMBA require summer training as well? If yes when is a student required to attend summer training?
6. After completion of 6 months at one location, is the cost of travel to the other location included in the fee? If not does SP Jain help students in travel related arrangements?
7. Will we be receiving 2 degrees at the end of the course? Heard that our earlier batches received a certificate from SP Jain, Dubai and SP Jain, Mumbai. Will we also get these 2 certificates, one from Australia and other from SP Jain, Mumbai
8. SP Jain provides Australian degree. I visited the site for department of NSW, and noticed that the license for SP Jain Australia will expire in 2014. What happens to our degree after that?

Hi!

Our sucess rate for the placements of our last batch was about 95%, infact before the recession we always had 100% placements. When we talk about such a high percentage of students getting placed sucessfully, we obviously have an efficient careers cell working towards this. The only time when we went a bit slow was during the recession.

In any case we can refer your case to our careers office so they can guide you in a better way. for this we would need you to mail us the following details on [email protected]
1. Resume
2. Academic record
3. Career plans post MBA

Hi Rutty,

My name is Mudit Gupta and I have received an admit to GMBA for Nov 2010 in SMM.
My reference No is 61112SMM

1. The bank wants a letter from the college mentioning my admit to the college and the fee structure(all components mentioned seperately) for sanctioning the loan. How can I get this?

2. Kindly inform me about the list of medical tests to be done for the VISA process. Can they be carried out by any registered Medical Practitioner?

Thanks,
Mudit Gupta

Hi!

We will have to refer your placement related queries to our corporate relations office, so could you pls mail those questions to [email protected].
Your other queries are answered as below-

  1. We have just finished our last round of evaluations and are making offers. The break up you need will be available a bit later.
  2. No, there is no summer training required before you start the GMBA. We however give out an optional reading list to students before the start of the programme.

  3. The cost of travel to either of the cities is not included in your fees. You need to make your own travel arrangements. SPJain however helps in arranging for your Visa.

  4. Henceforth students will only get one degree. The degree at the end of the program will be an Australian degree, awarded by S P Jain Center of Management, Australia stating Master of Business Administration (Global) (with the specialization mentioned).

  5. For your query on license, pls note that all institutions get accredited initially for a period of 5 years after which it gets renewed. However, the degree given in 2011 is for ever, irrespective of renewal of the accreditation.

Hi!

I have already replied to your post on the concerns you share with a few other students. but I guess I missed out on your query as to why we did not have the sydney leg of the programe. This was basically due to a combination of various factors partly as we did not want to place our students at risk and partly because on campus housing was not available at the UNSW campus and off campus housing was working out to be being non economical financially from a students stand point.

Hey can you post the reply you got in the email here?

Hi Rutty,
I want to apply for april 2011 batch. i had sent the scores to s.p. jain global in aug 2009 when i appeared for GMAT.
Do i need to resend the scores for this year???

Hi!

You need not resend the scores to us.
You need to mention your score and GMAT registration details in the application form. If you are shortlisted and are called for evaluation, you will be asked to carry your original GMAT scorecard for verification.
