Hi,

pls find below answers to your questions

Thanks
Shweta

I hope this is the right place for a new query.

I wanted the following about GMBA of SP jain:

1. what % of the class normally gets placed? So far we have had 100% placements except for the batch which graduated in May 09 where 75% of the batch has been placed so far

2. What is the average Sal? About Rs 12 lakhs pa

3. What location does a student normally get placed at? (Dubai, Singapore, India) and if all then which country picks the most? Placements could be at all 3 - the ratio as of now is about 60% in India an d the rest in Dubai/Singapore

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

As you havent taken the SPJAT for Nov 09 and if you do not havea CAT/GMAT score then its better to apply for April 2010 as we had the last test on 26th Sept 09 for the Nov 09 intake. Evals for the Nov 09 intake will be sometime in the 1st week of Oct 09

We havent yet fixed any dates for the April 2010 intake. pls check our website in Nov/Dec 09 for updates reg the same

Thanks
Shweta

Hi Shweta,

I am yet to apply for the 2009 November intake & am quite confused on whether to go for Nov 09 or April 10 so as to enhance my chances.

If I apply for Nov 09 intake, when will my evaluations be conducted? I am yet to apply for the SP Jain aptitude test.

If I go with April 2010 intake, could you please let me know when the '2010' aptitude test will be scheduled?

Also, is there any sort of prioritization b/w CAT, GMAT & the SP Jain Aptitude tests?

Regards,
Manu

Hi Shweta,

I have applied for Retail Management as my preference 1 and GLSCM as preference 2.
I have been thinking hard to understand based on my experience which specialization I should go for.
I have been working in Retail IT domain from long time (almost 6 years now) but in the back end part of retail i.e. Supply chain execution and logistic optimization rather a brand management or store management.
Will that be possible to change my application preferences now?

Thanks in advance to guide me.

Thanks and Regards
Sumit Mittal

Hi,

Hi,

I applied for GMBA program with score of 650 and 5+ years work ex. I have been called for second level of evaluation - case study and interviews on Oct 10. I am also appearing on GMAT in early next week. Will I be able to present my new score on Oct 10 if new one is higher? I know that it takes 10-15 for GMAC to send the scores but will a paper score sheet be considered for a while.
I also wanted to know how many people have been called for second level evaluation and will my low GMAT score still impact my chances of final selection.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Abhishek

Hi Shweta,

I have got a call from SPJ for evaluation on 11th Oct. In my application form I have mentioned ACFM and IT as first and second choice, respectively.

I have 6 yrs of IT experience behind me and after giving it a lot of thought I want that my first choice should be IT and second as ACFM.

I have emailed Sejal and gmba at the email ids to change my app from ACFM to IT. I am awaiting a reply from them.

Request you to please follow it up for me so that after the confirmation I can make the initial payment and book my slot for the evaluation.

Thanks,
Rajat

Hi Rutty,

My application no. is 40071-IBWM . Can you please tell me that are there still any chances for this application to get cleared for evaluation in next go???

Dear Neha/Shweta,

I am considering a one year MBA program from a top ranked MBA institute in or around India.
I was very impressed with the latest placement statistics available on the SPJCM site but had the following concerns/queries -

1. The highest and lowest salary for each specialization - Was the salary offered in Dubai, India or Singapore? 19-20 lac Rs. in India is an excellent placement but in UAE translates into approximatley AED 146,527 or S$56,505 in Singapore dollars, which may or may not be an outstandin placement. Considering taxes and the cost of living in each country, these amounts have a very different significance in each country. Same for the lowest salary.
I suggest that the data for the placement in each country be given seperately so that students be clear on what to expect vis-a-vis placements in a particular country. When students don't get what they expect, it doesn't really help the reputation of the institution.

2. Median salary - A median salary gives a better idea of the salary distribution. Most international MBAs list the median salary. Considering that SP jain is projecting itself as a Global MBA, the website should also provide such data.

3. Salary distribution according to work experience - It would be a good idea to include statistics which tell a student what sort of salaries someone with less than 3 years could expect, or someonw with a work ex between 3 and 7 years could expect, and so on.

Given the fact that doing an MBA is a very important step in every student or professional's life and a considerable investment especially in terms of money, such information will help me and other candidates make an informed decision for their future.
If possible please help us with that data.

Thanks and regards

Can someone please reply this post? I had few questions and would appreciate if someone can answer. thanks.

I don;t think so u need to give GMAT again.. their minimum score requirement is 650 and you are clearing that cutt off.. don;t worry about it and focus on evaluation round if you already got a call.

thanks.. but I am giving GMAT not just for SPJain. for other colleges too.. so you think that my low GMAT won't impact my chances in evaluation round... Please correct me if I'm wrong..

Can someone officially answer how many people have been called for this evaluation round..

Go through the forum you will find Shweta answered this officially to so many people. If your score is up to cutt off you don't need to give exam again. There is some weight for exam score but they look at over all package and not only exam score.
