Reading through the above posts, I could figure out that ppl who dint get eval call yet are not been considered for April 09 Intake.
But I have applied much before the last date of application of April 09 intake and the site still shows "your status will be updated shortly".
So either I should have got EVAL call or I should have been rejected(which i dont want ). Can you throw some light on it ?

I had applied for IB-WM in last week of January. On logging, I still get this message, "your status will be updated shortly". I was truly expecting the call based on my previous CAT score. Considering the last date being 15th Feb, was I too late to apply, or my score was less :confused: (I dont think latter cud have been the case )

Hi,

The GMAT cut off is 650 irrespective of which category you apply under. The admissions criteria remains the same for candidates applying under the Placements and for those applying under the Non placements categories.

Hi,

I am having 2 years of Experience in IT, planning to apply GMBA (ITM) for the Nov/Dec intake. My company is prepared partially sponsor the MBA. So, i will not appear for the campus placement conducted by SPJCM. Considering my case, what is the minimum GMAT score required to secure the eval call ?

Hi,

The placements for the Dec 07-08 batch are the same as given on the website. The last 7-10% that have not been placed - we will try and place them alongwith the May 08-09 graduating batch.

The placements for the May 08-09 batch have just about started and hence I cannot give you any statistics about the same

Can you please update us on the placements for Dec'08 grad batch? The statistics in the website has last been updated around Jan i blv...Glad if you can also share how the placements for April'09 batch is gng.

I'm afraid irrespective of when a student has applied if he/she has not been through the evals it means that they are not shortlisted for the April 09 intake as the last round of evals was over on 22nd Feb 09

Hi,

The reasons for your not being shortlisted could be anything apart from the 2 mentioned by you below.

Even if your CAT score meets our cut off there could be other areas like acads, work ex, extra curricula etc that you could have fallen short on.
Students who applied even on 15th of Feb 09 were shortlisted for the evals hence the late appln could also not be the reason

yeah exactly..even this is what I have concluded from previous posts..
But why can't the status be updated as REJECTED(I had to be 2 harsh on myself to write this ) on the site if thats the case..
It would help many others in the same boat..And would avoid unnecessary speculation, worries for students and efforts on ur side to reply to all of them as I can see in last many posts.. :)

Hi Shweta,
I am in the waitlist post evaluation. Are admissions still open or have you closed the admissions for April 09 intake? I was told the waitlisted candidates will know their outcome by Feb end.
Other top Indian B-schools are yet to declare their results for 2009 intake. So I am still optimistic

repeating the same post wont solve any purpose other then crowding the thread.........Please do take care from next time onward ..........

Now coming to your query.............SPJ looks for good overall profile which includes work exp. as well but it doesn't mean that freshers can't get into.........if you have a good profile like lods of extra currivular activities during your college time or have done something for society during your college time then you have a chance for call.......

seeing your profile ......you have good chance for the evaluation call............but it depends on AdCom. so apply for the course(when it opens for dec. intake) and hope for the best.....

Dear Shweta,
I have been admitted and have taken admission in SP Jain for ACFM..
had following query:

Previously there were two certificates given at the end of the program- PG Diploma and GMBA certificate. The site now says only one certificate for GMBA will be provided. I understand from others that this is due to changing regulations, and that we may still be given two certificates, if law permits. If not, then will the GMBA one will be co-signed by SPJIMR, as FAQ section GMBA - accreditation/certification point 1 states that it is jointly issued?
Also, I wanted a clarification on the term "Certificate"- is it like a Degree Certificate or like a Certificate given at end of a course?? Meaning, is it considered on par with a Degree or PG Diploma? As only those have value when one applies for work permit abroad.

Hi,

I have 1.5 yrs of exp in indian IT industry. could you please tell me about the admissions in SP jain dubai or singapore campus.
Which test scores they consider and avg marks to get in?
Will i get any benefit of having a exp?
How many intakes are there in a year?
What is the avg fee structure for exec as well as 2 year full time prog?
what is the earliest possible intake in which i can get into the clg?

Please assist.
