I also attended the evaluation on 31st. i met shweta ma'm there,
she said the results would be out in 2 weeks time, i think it wouldn't even take that much of time..so keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Can anybody please tell me, for Dec2008-09 intake which year score of CAT would be considered. I have given CAT in 2006. So is it fine if I apply with CAT-06 scores or i require CAT-07 to apply for. And wat are likelly to be cutoffs. I have 91 in CAT-07. Is this score gud enuf to apply for.

I appeared for evaluation round on 29th. I was not called for Dean's Interview.
Is it a sign of rejection?

My panal interview took hardly 5 mins. I dont know in 5 mins how can you judge a person. Can you please clarify it?

I am eagerly waiting for results. Plz tell us tentative dates.

I am really thankful for this great help to the students applying to S P J.
My questions are:

(1) I am going to take GMAT. I hv checked d available dates but there was no dates before 7th october so i had to schedule it on 7th october. Kindly let me know if it is possible to apply before the deadline without GMAT score and sending you the score on 7th october. Can i do so? and how?

(2) My work ex. is abt 3 years out of that 2.3 yrs in Financial services industry and last 7 months in education(in an MBA college as a Soft Skills Trainer) will that affect my application if i dnt hv corporate ex in last seven months? Is it possible to get admission in financial sevices related electives banking, investments etc.?

Hi,

Yes, we would be having further rounds of evaluations. For studnets who have gone through this round then this is the final round and there would be no further rounds for them.

The final result of the evaluation would be delared withing 3 weeks from the date of the evaluations and would be available on the status link on our website

There aren't any further rounds of evaluation after these evaluations, are there? i mean for a student who has undergone the evaluation in this round
will be given the final result directly, isn't it? If yes then when would be the results for those evaluations be declared?

Your GMAT score is below our cut off of 650. You would have to provide us with another score which meets our requirements

Hi Shweta,
I took my GMAT few days ago and ended up getting a score of 610.
Academic performance:
HSC - 90 percent
BE - 67 percent( First class in each year)

Work experience - 26 months
Excellent participation in Extra curriculars.

Do u think my score suffices the requirements of SPJain Dubai Singapore?
or do I need to take GMAT again.Kindly suggest.

We will consider your application but as your GMAT score is below our cut off of 650 we would not shortlist candidates who do not have a score that meets our records

Hi Shweta,
I have taken GMAT last year and scored 600. I work with Infosys and have 2.5 years of work exp, currently based in UK. I have got decent acads (first class throughout).
I read in one of your replies to an applicant that the GMAT cut off is 650. Just wanted to know if I will be considered if I apply for GMBA?

Hi Shweta,

Is it compulsory to provide the GPA, i have filled the application form and provided all my results in percentage (as our university does not provide GPA scores and there is no way i can convert it to GPA).

Will it make a difference to the evaluations.

Firstly I want to clarify that THERE IS NO WAY A STUDENT CAN BE SHORTLISTED WITHOUT A SCORE. Naturally we already had your SPJAT score with us before it was sent to you and hence this data was already fwded to the Admissions Committee who then decided to shortlist you.

Hence they would already have your score on their records

I had filled the application form for SPJain dubai around 8th august and gave my SPJAT on 17th aug. I was called for the evaluation process even before my SPJAT results were out. Now i have received my SPJAT score and I have fared very well in it(99.46%tile). So how will the admission committee come to know about my score??

I really want them to know about the score at the time of my interview. Please help me in this regard.

One more thing, I have my interview scheduled on 1st Sept.

Dear Saurabh,

The applications are all screened as and how they are received its just that due to the virus issue we had to stop working on our website while the problem was being resolved and hence were unable to update any status's on the website.

Hence we only sent out call letters to students but dint update their status either on the site. Hence you feel there is a delay in you knowing your status.

We shortlist you for the first preference and whilst being evaluated if the Admissions Committee feels you are more suited for your 2nd pref or any other spec then the same will be conveyed to you.

Through this thread what I can make out is that some of the people who submitted their form in auagust have already got an interview call where as some of them who submitted it in last week of july(r even before) have got no update.
Can you clarify on this and let people know hw is this happening?
why is Sp jain taking more time in evaluating some profiles as compared to the others?
One more thing I wanted to clarify is are the calls based on the preferrences we chose in the form? I mean to say if someone has filled IB as 1st prefrence n PM as second and after evaluating the profile ADCOM feels that the profile is more suited for some other specialization.. then in that case the profile gets rejected.. or they call the applicant for the other specialization..

Hi,

Yes if you do inform us about your GMAT score which meets our cut off around the 3rd week of Sept - the Admissions Committee will eview your application with your GMAT score and then decide whether to shortlist you or not

Hi Shweta,

My Application ID is 25590-IT.
My Score in SPJAT, held on 17th August, was not quiet good.
So, if I am able to show my GMAT score in around 3rd week of September, do I still have a chance for evaluation process ?
Or the ongoing (30th Aug to 1st Aug) is the last evaluation process that is being conducted?

Can you kindly clarify ?

Dear Sir,

I am having 7 years of experience in sales and marketing and I want to shift my career to my field of interest that is investment and my own business. For that I want to leave Job and prepare for GMAT for good institutes like SP Jain, IIM etc. Will the Non job period be a negative instance for my career or entry in MBA institute.

I am very much clear that I want to start my own Business of opening School Chain in india and for that i want to have all Business knowledge which i feel will come from Executive MBA only.

Hi,

Yes, we are accepting CAT 06 scores for the Dec 08 intake. Our cut off is 80%ile so your score of 91 is fine

Hi,

1) You can apply and submit your score later on. however 7th oct may be a little to close as our closing date for admissions is 6th Oct 08

2) Not having worked in a corporate environment will not affect your chances of selection. I cannot comment if you could get admission in the Finance spez as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee
