I have got 62.5 marks and a percentile of 96.38 in SPJAT.
I have 3 years of work ex. in engineering services.
wot r my chances of gettin a call for GMBA?

I took the SPJATtest on July 5th. I got the scores today of someother candidate 571103 and the candidate name as Prakash Vineet.
Later on I got a mail having the same candidate id and with my name.

I have replied to the mail having the scores. Can you please check and get back to me.

As of now we havent yet decided on any details regarding the next aptitude test.

We do no require recommendation letters at all for this intake

Hi Rutty,

I have booked my date for GMAT exam as 3rd sep 08, I also got to know that there will be another Aptitude test conducted by SP Jain sometime in August. Can you please confirm about the 2nd SP Jain Aptitude test (if yes then along with the date of the exam).
Secondly I have filled my Application form (not yet submitted it), but I could not find information regarding recommendation letters etc. Can you please let me know, if SP Jain requires letter of recommendation, if yes then how many and also at which stage of the application (I don't think it is required till you submit the application).

Our cut off for the SPJAT is 75 %ile and for CAT 80%ile and for GMAT its 650+

Pls check if your score is 63 or %ile is 63 - as our cutoffs are for the
%iles and not the scores

I cannot comment on your chances of getting a call as that is the decision of the Admissions Committee

Overall Workexperince of 2.9 years
but in spjat got a score of 63%.

Hi,

I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the admissions Committee - however i would advise that you may send in your application as the Admissions Committee will look at your profile as a whole.

Is it possible for a candidate who has already appeared for the SPJAT on the 5th July to retake SPJAT for the Dec-2008 intake, if/when the SPJAT is held again for the Dec-2008 intake?

My question is... is this a competitive score to apply or shall i wait for my GMAT score , since am taking the GMAT test on the 8th of Aug 2008.

My concern is : What if i apply and get rejected now ?? Can i update my GMAT score on 8th August to you Admission committee having got a reject from you based on my SPJAT score??

I have written SPJAT and secured overall percentile of 96.5%.
I am working as a design manager in OIL AND GAS industry in reliance industries.I have a healthy work ex of 2.9 years in my bag. My job is to work on few 3-D softwares and generating the site plans, plot plans etc of refineries,cordination,presenting the model to the client.My academic record :
10th standard: 76% , 12th standard : 77% and BTECH: 74%(mechanical)
I have noticed that all the MBA programs in GMBA are highly specialised.
I want to know which MBA specialization includes my kind of profile....
I am not able to figure out where i fit the best ie which field would let me use the already gained work ex in the oil and gas field.
Plz guide me! I will be grateful

hi,

Well 63 %ile is a bit low as our cut off is 75%ile

You may apply using this score and if the Admissions Committee feels that your profile is meeting all otehr criteria except the score we will send you an email to that effect asking you to retake the apt or provide us with another score that meets our cut off

Even if you do not receive such an email - you are free to retake the test if you wish to improve upon your current score

Hi,

Your apt score is fine as it meets our cut off. hence you can apply right away and even if by any chance you do not get shortlisted the reason would surely not be your apt test score (as that meets our requirements)

Hence in light of the above in my opinion i do not feel it necessary for you to wait until your GMAT

In any case you may update us with your GMAT score by sending an email to [email protected]

Thanks for the reply. Well the question was for one of my friend who scored 74.74 precentile in SPJAT.

As for me, I have scored a percentile of 92.05. I have already applied for the Dec2008 intake and I would like to believe that my application no. 25633- IT would have been updated with my SPJAT score.

When (if I do) should I expect the call for the GD/PI and what is the mode of communication? Would I be receiving an email to this effect of do I need to check the website regularly for the same?

Well we do not counsel candidates as to which spez they should opt for as that is a decision you have to take yourself based on your interests and fututre goals

I would advise you to pls read through the course structure carefully spez wise (its tehre as a pdf file on our website) and choose for yourself which spez suits you the best.

in my opinion you could maybe consider the logistics ot IT or Product Mkting spez
