How long will it take to get results publised ? Also will the evaluation occur on the same day?

the result usually comes within 2-3 days.
after you get the result they will call you accordingly for the interview if u pass all their criterias.

I have got the final offer for admission into GMBA may intake. I applied to IT specialization. Had my interview on 10th feb.

Anees, I have a few queries :-

1) If i defer my admission to next intake, would I have to go through the evaluation process again ?

2) What is the probability of getting placed in singapore for IT specialization ? Just for confirmation, IT specialization starts in dubai and ends in singapore, is that correct ?

Anybody else who has an idea on the queries could also help. Anees, awaiting your reply.

CAn u pls help me with ur GMAT score so that I can let u know whtehr that is the reason for your being waitlisted.

In any case if your score is 650+ then I do not think that would be the cause of your being on the waitlist.

I had applied for the HR course for teh May 2008 intake. I had applied on the basis of my gmat score earlier and had got a waitlist status,however I would like to take the SP Jain test on the 1st of march since I feel tahst teh only criteria that I woudl fall short in. I have close to 20months of relevant HR experience in Texas Instruments.

Please let me know if I can send in the SPJAT score to be considered again for May 2008 intake? What are my chances if the score meets the cut off? Woudl teh seats be all filled in HR by then?

Hi,
yes there is a fair chance that some of the students who are on the waitlist could get shortlisted for the evaluation.

This waitlist is reviewed from time totime by the Admissions Commitee as and when need be and students found suitable are shortlisted for the evlautions.

I would request you to pls be a little patient as this might take some time - the max would be probably till a little after we close for admissions ie after 31st March 2008

I've got waitlisted. A week or so back. Now do these actually fetch calls? n if yes, tentatively how much timeline does it take, if its possible for you to comment on this one?

Hi,
just to let you know - there is no fixed no of seats for any spec. And we are not looking at students just to fill our seats.

We are looking at the right candidates even if it means taking in a lesser no of students.

The Admissions Commitee does review this waitlist from time to time as and when need be. However I cannot give u an exact time as to when this would be reviewed.

The max that you would haveto wait would probably be a little after the close of our admissions.

After having a very good performance in gd pi (as saiid by director himself during interview) I am waitlisted.
Could you please tell me that out of around 60 seats in IT mgmt, how many have been offered final admission so that I can have a rough estimate about my chance?

your SPJAT score is fine - in my opinion that is not the reason for your being on the waitlist - you need not take the test again.

I gave the aptitude test on 2 nd feb and i got 91.96 percentile. I m in the waiting list. Now there s an other test on 1st march. Should i give tat test n try to improve my score or is it not worth it? Will it in ne way help my chance s if i get a better percentile in tat????

Hi,

We do not have a fixed no of seats for any spec. We are more concerend with finding the right kind of candidates for our prog.
The waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be by the Admissions Commitee and students found suitbale are offered admission.

However there is no fixed timeframe as to when this happens and you would have to be a little patient. The max that you would have to wait would probably be until a little after we claose for admissions

Anyways, this post is to get an idea about the convert of the Waitlist status as no such info. is available in other threads. Shweta i need your help in this. Firstly, wht is the total no of seats available in IB for May 2008 intake? Second, how many of them are offered the final admission, n how many r put at waitlist? Also, since thr is no no. attached to the Waitlist status, so can u give us some idea as how much hope v shld ve for the final convert. One last Q - wht is the period the Adcom generally follow to update the waitlist status? A lot of Qs but no place better than this i found to get them answered. Thanks in advance.

Your CAT score is fine as it meets our cut off of 80+. In my opinion you need not take the SPJAT.

I had applied to GMBA program (IT Management) with user ID shankha_c in the first week of Feb.
Today I have found that my application is wait listed. My brief profile is as follows.
RCOM - >3years exp as Deputy Manager (Data Networks)
IRCA certified ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor
CCNA & CCNP Certified
BE (E&T;) - Mumbai University Merit Holder (Ranked 20th - 74%)
Overall for 4 years is 60%
HSC - 59%
SSC - 75%
Applied with CAT Percentile - 83.76%
My query is if the wait listed status is because of my CAT percentile.
If yes then I will be appear for the aptitude test scheduled on 1st March.
I am aware that my concern areas would be my CAT score/HSC marks or both.
Your reply is awaited, as if CAT score is my stumbling block, then I need to appear for SP JAIN Aptitude test.

Hi Mukesh,

Firstly, pls do not get disheartened that you were not selected. It doesnt mean that you are not good - it just means that you do not meet our unique criteria.

Well during the evalutions a lot of factors are considered apart from academics , CAT score , extra curriculars etc.

We look at your personality on the whole, domain knowledge, communication skills, smartness etc.
ANd then a final decision is taken based on your profile as a whole.

It is not our policy to hand out specific reasons for non selection.

I have attended the interview on 10th of Feb and my admission status is regretted, I just wanted to know if you can help me out that why i have been rejected by the adcom
My profile as follows
Cat :89.12%
Work Ex- 4.5 years
Education
MCA 76%
B.Sc. Statistics 63%
average Extra curricular activities
Have attended the director round. I have done well in my PI and i would say average in the director round. One thing i am not able to understand what are the criteria that adcom looks for as far it concern to me I have done reasonably well and i am not able to understand not even the single criteria why i have been not selected. The only one that i can think of is being in IT and applied for IB.
I am not questioning the adcom process but for my own sake of justification for the regret status i wanted to know where i was lacking so that probably in the future i can overcome that.
Please help me if you can throw some light on that, I will be very great full to you.

1. I would like to know which IT companies come for students with an SMM specialization, looking for Business Development profiles?
2. What is the average salary offered for 1. above?
3. Are these placements concentrated more in India, Singapore or the UAE?
4. I have 4 years of work experiencein IT (Telecom Software Development) and plan to persue an MBA in SMM. What kind of profiles can I look forward to, post an MBA at SPJCM?

I have not been able to get this info from the website and hence the query.
