Hi Shweta, I had applied for the may/june intake on Jan 10 for IB. A friend who had also applied at the same time has got a call, I understand that the shortlisting is done on so called roll on basis, but when he/I login's in to the website it say "status 'll b updated shortly" for both of us. I tried calling the Mumbai office but they had no answer to this. The only important information I got thru was the fact that the ADCOM committe DOES NOT send any mail if u r not shortlisted. All I want to know is, once u reject/select (In this case u mail hime/her) a candidate how much time time does it ideally takes to update the same on the website?

Hi, We have yet to update the same. It will be done shortly.
There is comprehensive listo f companies where our studnets have been placed . It is available underthe Placements section on our website. There is no specific list spec wise as the companies maybe common to more than 1 spec

Hmm, I still dnt understand as to wats d point in neither updating d status nor sending a rejection mail to canditates who've been evaluated and found unfit for the program!!! I have been virtually rejected(obviuosly) but still it shows ""PDATED SHORTLY""

My profile : CAT : 91.58 percentile X : 83 % XII : 81 % Graduation ( B.Com ) : 77 % ( Symbiosis College topper ) Post Graduation ( M.C.A) : 77 % (University Of Pune - Gold Medalist)
Work Ex: 1 yr 8 months (Software Engineer at HSBC Software -- Currently in Indonesia as a Consultant to HSBC Indonesia )
Extra curriculars - National Lawn Tennis Player & State Champion...
1. My application result states i have been kept on a wait list since i fall short in some of the admission criteria. but it does not mention which are the criteria where im falling short of??
2. Could you please clarify as to what exactly you are looking for ?
3. Is it because i have applied for IB, but have no relevant work ex in finance domain?
4.I have not mentioned in my application that though im a software Engineer, I'm Working in the banking and Finance Domain ....Would it be of any help and make a diffference ?? If yes, Please advice me how & where can i convey this info in my application ??
5. Or could it be because of my Low CAT score??
6. What are the realistic chances of waitlist getting converted to call??
Hi Ankush, When did u apply??? Congrats atleast u know ur status! I applied on 10th Jan along with a friend of mine having more or less the same profile and much lower CAT score. He got a mail saying he's shortlisted and there has been no intimation to me. And the worst part is in both the applns the status says ""t 'll be Updated shortly""

Hi, I have applied to SP Jain, Dubai and received the requirment of attending the aptitude test conducted by SP Jain( Feb 2, 200. I just want to know the format of the test paper and the kind of competency level expected in the test.
I just have a small query. its open to all who have applied and also to Shweta :smile: I just want to know the max number of words i can use to write my achievements(individual). Also let me know the word limit for "Extracurricular activities, Hobbies, Interests" please reply soon !
After a great set back from all the exams(CAT,SNAP, XAT)....I have atlast applied for SP Jain Dubai. Hope I atleast get in here. I have already started with a mistake. I have clicked the SUBMIT button without giving in my Graduation details and now I am unable to edit the data.
Has anyone tried to generate the hall ticket from the SP Jain's site. I have some problem when doing so ! :shocked: Can some one give a hint abt how to go a head !
The status on the site is yet to be updated - hence you might have to wait until the end of this week or so.
Its just that the call letters were sent out earlier than the status cuold be updated on the site.
In any case we have said it could take upto 30-40 days for you to know your appln status.

Hi, well you should check your junk/spam incase you think youve missed an email.

We normally expect students to have about 2 yrs+ work ex although we also do consider freshers who are outstanding. There is no classification that we need more work ex for IT and less for the other spec.
The Admissions Commitee will look at the overall profile of a candidate before taking a final decision

We do not give specific reasons as to why a candidate has been waitlisted - it could be any of the factors - acads, work ex, entrance test score, extra curriculars.....
Your CAT score does not seem to be the reason according to me - as it meets our requirement of 80+
yes there are fair chances that a waitlist could get converted t o call - but I cannot comment on when exactly as this waitlist is reviewed by the Admissions Commitee from time to time as and when need be and students found suitable are shortlisted.
I guess you will just have to be patient and wait a while.

Hi, The braod areas that we test you on are Maths, Verbal, Logic, GK etc. It is a multiple choice paper with negative marking
