basic question but need help

A guy increases his speed by 15 km/h but still he is late by 5 minutes. can we calculate speed by this statement?

Two painters, Arjo and Bulu, together got a contract to paint a house for Rs.6000. On the day of the work, Arjo started the work as scheduled but Bulu turned up one hour late and as a result they took 45 minutes more to complete the job. What would be Bulu's share (in Rs.) in the total amount had they both worked for an equal amount of time? Ans = Rs 4500

a very basic question but not getting the answer, Please find the flaw in my solution-

Question -  Arun can walk up in a moving escalator (upwards) in 30 s. He can walk down this moving ‘up’ escalator in 90 s. Assume that his walking speed is the same both upwards and downwards. How much time (in seconds) will he take to get to the top of the escalator when he is not moving?

My solution is enclosed-

basic question please help with solution, point out the flaw in my solution? (photo enclosed) ?

Q-  A man is walking on an ascending escalator. He takes 8 steps to reach the top of the 40 step escalator. What is the ratio of the speed of man to the speed of escalator?

Cost of building a wall is Rs. 1,404. What would be the cost of building if dails wages of workers increase by 50/3% and working hours per day increase by a fraction of 1/25?

find the sum of following series

1+3+7+13+21..upto 50 terms

(Please suggest a shortcut as to how to make series in these type of questions)

Task is assigned to A , B and C. A works twice as fast as B and B works at one-third the rate at which C works. No two of them worked on the job at the same time. The job was completed in 3 days. Each one of them completed the same amount of work. A worked for 1 day / 9/11 / 6/7 / 1/2  (days )

If two natural numbers, each of which is a 2 digit number are chosen randomly . find the probablity that these two numbers have the same unit digits

Ravi lent out ₹9 to Sam on the condition that the amount is payable in 10 months by 10 equal installments of ₹1 each payable at the start of every month. What is the rate of interest per annum if the first installment has to paid one month from the date the loan is availed.

Solution please:

A and B start moving simultaneously towards each other from points X and Y respectively. A starts at the speed of 2 m/sec in the 1st second and then increases his speed every second by 3 m/sec . Similarly, B

starts at 3 m/sec and increases his speed every second by some integral speed in m/sec . They meet at the end of nth second (n > 2) and speed of B during nth second was decuple of that of A. Find the distance

(in meters) between points X and Y. [decuple = ten folds]

A starts a certain work and leaves after completing exactly half of the work, then B takes up the remaining work. In this way, the work is completed in 25 days. If A and B would work together, the same work get completed in 12 days. It is known that A Is slower than B. Find the number of days in which the work will be completed, if A alone first works on exactly one-fifth of the work and then B alone complete the rest of the work. Ans= 22 Can we do this sum by assuming the total units of work and the per day efficiency of A and B?

A firm has 4 tractors, model A,B,C and D. Two of B and one each of C and D plough the field in 2 days. Two of A and one of C take 3 days to plough the same field. Three tractors, one each of A, B and C take 4 days . How long will it take to plough the field for 4 tractors of different model. (10/7 ; 2 ; 13/7 ; 12/7)

Raghu wants to construct a circular swimming pool in his trapezium shaped plot. The lengths of the non-parallel sides of the plot are 26 m and 30 m. If the radius of the biggest circular pool that can be constructed inside the plot is 12 m, then what is the least possible area (in sq. meter) of the plot? Ans= 672 Please explain how to solve this.
