• I-ANALYTIKA-IT & BA Club: This club organizes events related to IT and analytics. They had organized workshops like Advanced Excel Certification, Data Analytics Certification, and many more like that. The upcoming event of this club is a collage competition where the students will make their models related to MIS and ERP of different fields. The faculty coordinator is Prof. Pradeep Verma and the students’ coordinators are Ashraful Aman, Sanchit Bharadwaj, Pawan Thakur, Sagar Mehar, Jyoti Kumari, and Swati Mishra.
• ARTHVITT, The Finance Club: This club organizes events and workshops related to financing and the things related to finance or that field. Recently they have organized the event “A Dialogue on Budget 2022” and “Financial Literacy Awareness Program”. MBA (Masters in Business Administration) is a 2 years degree course offered by GNIOT. This is a university affiliated course and is oriented towards theoretical knowledge in the field of management while PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) is a 2 years full-time diploma course offered by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies. PGDM covers more of the practical aspects of the management course instead of just focusing on the theoretical aspect. This course provides more knowledge about how the industries work and teaches how to deal with the real-life business challenges. Also, PGDM is more flexible as compared to MBA and updates the syllabus as per the need of the hour.

Don’t be confused at all, its a PGDM course offered by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies.
Now let’s come to the selection criteria of the course.

APPLICATION FORM

To apply for the PGDM Programme at GIMS, applicants must fill the form either offline or on the online admissions portal. The Application processing fee is Rs.1200. This fee can be paid through credit card or net banking.

SCREENING OF APPLICATION FORM

The application forms will be scrutinized by the GIMS panel and the candidates will be shortlisted on the following parameters:

• Consistency of academic record
• Versatility and achievement
• Relevance of work experience for the specialization (If any)

GIMS APTITUDE TEST (GAT)

Applicants shortlisted in the stage II, will be called for GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). The test would be for 60 Mins and would have questions related to Language comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning and Mathematical Skills.

This test will be optional for the students who have qualified 80 or above percentile in MAT/CAT/XAT/MAT or GMAT score. But it will be mandatory for the candidate to appear for all the other stages of the selection process.

GROUP DISCUSSION

The students, who qualify GAT, would be invited for Group Discussion on the campus. The topic of discussion will be provided by a panelist or a group of panelists. Students who qualify Group Discussion will be eligible for the next round.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW/PRESENTATION/ESSAY ROUND

Shortlisted candidates after Group Discussion will have to face either of the follow

• Personal Interview (Face to face or Skype)
• Presentation (Student will have to prepare and give a PowerPoint Presentation on a topic given)
• Essay Round (Written)

FINAL SELECTION

Final Selection will be based on the decision of a panelist or a group of panelists. The selection list is based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s profile, academic record, entrance test scores MAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT or GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT) ,performance in the Group Discussion and Interview/Presentation/Essay Round.

GIMS weightage on different parameter is given below:

Group Discussion/ Written Test 20%
Personal Interview / Presentation 30%
Percentile score in Written Test Entrance (MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT or GAT) 40%
Past Academic Performance (10th ,12th . Graduation)/ Work Experience 10%

The decision of the Admission Committee shall be binding & final.

• Any act or omission of suppressing academic information or furnishing false documents etc. will make the admission aspirant automatically disqualified at any stage of the admission process. No fee shall be refunded in such case and such offender will be liable to face appropriate penal action by the institute.
• Prevalent norms of AICTE shall be followed for the admission process.

FEES STRUCTURE

PGDM Batch (2022-24)

The fee can be deposited by Demand Draft in favor of “GNIOT Institute of Management Studies” payable at Greater Noida / Noida/ Delhi” by Net Banking as per the following details:

In case the fee is deposited through net banking, the student should send details like name of the candidate, father’s name, course applied, batch, student’s email ID, date of transaction, the amount transferred, and NEFT/RTGS/IMPS No at [email protected].

• The security deposit of 10,000/- is to be paid at the time of admission and is refundable on completion of the program/convocation or on termination/withdrawal of admission after submission of the No-Dues certificate.
• An amount of 96,000 to 1,50,000/- (depending upon the type of accommodation opted) is payable against Hostel and Mess Charges at the time of joining the hostel and is non-refundable.
• The hostel is optional for the students and is subject to the availability of accommodation.
• Supporting documents required for the education loan will be provided by the institute only.
• A complimentary Laptop will be provided to all the students.
• The Hostel Security Deposit of 5000/- is also to be paid at the time of admission and is refundable. No adjustment shall be made for the leave, holiday, student being absent from the institute/hostel, or premature withdrawal from the hostel.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of Gautam Buddha Nagar Court only.

The industry expert for the session was Mr. Mohit Kapur (Vice President), EXL Services. He explained the basics of the Financial Market, Financial Assets, and also, he explained the flow of funds between suppliers of funds (households) and users of funds (corporations) through equity and debt instruments indirect transfer.
Output from the session: -
• Financial markets are where traders buy and sell assets. These include stocks, bonds, derivatives,
foreign exchange, and commodities.
• A Financial asset is a liquid asset that gets its value from a contractual right or ownership claim.
• The flow of funds is financial accounts that are used to track the net inflows and outflows of
money to and from various sectors of a national economy.

After screening of your application form, there will be a GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), which consists of Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Mathematical skills.
