National Insurance Academy (NIA), was established in 1980 in Pune, jointly by Ministry of Finance and Government of India to nurture the best talent in the industry and prepare them for the insurance industry. The academy offers various courses related to the insurance industry. Among these courses is a 2-year, full-time PGDM course focus on Insurance and Risk Management and it is AICTE approved.

Duration: 2 Years
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks. Students appearing for the final year examination can also apply, subject to declaration of their examination results by June 30, 2022.
He/she should have appeared for CAT 2021 or CMAT 2022.
Age Criteria Upper age limit is 28 years for General / OBC - NC candidates, and 30 years for SC/ST/DA candidates as on 1 July 2022.
Selection Procedure Selection to PGDM of NIA shall be based on the following criteria:
- Past academic record
- Performance in CAT 2021or CMAT 2022
- Performance in Group Discussion & Personal Interview including WAT
