Yes, it is industry focused but not very technical as such. It is both theory and practice based. You will get a lot of learnings from the lab sessions. Projects are real world case studies from Indian and global securities markets. Internships are with most of the market intermediaries like broking, merchant banking, asset management companies, etc.
It is a niche program and pays of well if you are really passionate about learning about markets.

Just finished my law degree and thinking of getting into financial regulation and securities law. Is this LL.M. worth it in terms of career prospects?

Eligibility for LLM (Investment and Securities Laws)
An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing /awaiting results of the qualifying examination in May/June 2025 can also apply and appear in the Admission Process. However, such candidates shall have to obtain the requisite eligibility by the cut-off date, which will be notified along with the notification of admission results.
