Congratulations to all those who are selected and who've cleared in the first waitlist movement. 🙂 About the WhatsApp group- We'hv created one and you can contact these numbers to join it by taking a screenshot of your offer letter when you receive it. Without the offer letter we won't add anybody in the group. We don't want any kind of unnecessary spamming. Last year it was observed that the wait list movement before the session commencement was upto 153, while if we see the movement this year the wait list has moved upto 154 or may be more. Since this year it is not disclosed like last year , and there is more than a month left for the new session to begin and we can expect the list to move even further.That is a bit surprising. I'll be highly obliged to the Adcom if it can state the reason for the huge movements this year. Kindy reply sir and mam

I sent acceptance mail on Friday morning, so till when can I expect a confirmation mail?

In the infirmation list, it is mentioned that you have to pay 6000 per month to caterer directly. So can I reimburse this amount with education loan? Any is it necessary to buy a laptop eventhought we are paying 15000 for internet for 4months, 3- is there any other hidden charges after joining the programme?

After payment of Rs 1 lakh I have received a confirmation mail but no further info regarding remaining amount and last date .And also provide the date by which we have to reach the college .

I got selection offer letter now at around 8 PM on 31st may, and last day is today itself at 5: 30,how am I supposed to pay the required dues in such a short notice? Please help!

I had applied for NIBM. My interview was  scheduled in the city of Mumbai. As per the given schedule, I appeared in the interview. An excerpt of the interview is as follows:


Interviewer- What is your name?

Me- Abhinav

Interviewer - And your surname is "Na"?

Me- No, Sir. It is the abbreviated form of "Not available"?

Interviewer- So you dont have a surname/title?

Me- No, Sir.

Interviewer- Why dont you have a surname?

Me(with slight arrogance and too much pride) - My parents didnt find it necessary enough to give me surname as they thought the "first name" is more than sufficient as far the purpose of name is identification.

Interviewer(slightly agigated)- But, everyone has a title...

Me(almost interrupting the interviewer)- Some people certainly have a title and it so happens that both my parents have got one and it is written on the paper that you are holding.


The rest of the interview was relevant as compared to the above excerpt.

Is it a norm at NIBM to ask questions (I must add with no shame at all) regarding the student's surname or "title"?

And I ask this because I was interviewed in other colleges too, but nowhere I was asked questions on such lines and my name appears as "ABHINAV NA" in all the forms that I filled.
