summer internships mandatory for all MBA courses?
I was genuinely considering MDI, but a particular requirement has completely turned me away, as I feel it’s a serious invasion of privacy.
They’re asking for the name, email, and phone number of someone from my previous organization (like a manager or HR).
While submitting a Release Letter is reasonable, providing personal contact details is not standard practice. If i am not selected then this may cause a problem during my hike or promotion.

Is it true MDI stopped counting 10th/12th marks in final selection?
Read that for the 2026 cycle MDI dropped Class 10/12 marks from the final selection formula and gave CAT a big chunk of the weightage. Does anyone know if the same structure applies for the 2027-29 batch, or should I wait for the official admission policy? My 12th marks are weak so this matters a lot to me.
Does MDI have sectional cutoffs for CAT? My DILR is my weak section.
I’m scoring decently in VARC and QA mocks but DILR keeps dragging me to the 80s. Does MDI apply sectional cutoffs at the shortlisting stage, and roughly how strict have they been? Should I be spending my last 10 weeks mostly on DILR?
