Hello Everyone! I guess there is a lot of confusion regarding the new waitlist method adopted by MDI. Here is my take on the same Till last year there was a common rank system. Which means you were in the same pool irrespective of which course you opted for. So when the waitlist moved for say IB, and the last person who was selected was a rank 550 in the common pool and the next person who had applied is a rank 600, the waitlist moved by 50. And as far as my assumption goes the number of people applying for the three courses was in the order PGP>HRM>IB. Hence the inverse waitlist movement. Since this year the waitlist is separate for each of the course, my take is that the waitlist movement will be very low for HRM and IB. According to me the best gauge would be your rank in the PGP waitlist. You should compare your rank in PGP, rather than IB or HRM, with last year's waitlist movement to best analyse your chances. You are free to comment if you feel the logic is flawed.

Any leads for loan?
In the mail received from MDI offering provisional admission to PGDM course, on submitting the fees, we have been asked to mail back some details. Included in that is the UTR Number. However if i am paying the fees from savings and will ask for reimbursement from bank post loan approval, should I leave the field blank when I share the details with MDI?
Also, In case the bank loan is sanctioned before the date, they said they will be sending the money to MDI directly. In that case how will the payment system work and what details will I be able to fill in.

Here is what I have found out about loan upon research:
1. SBI issues 20 lacs without collateral for MDI. Guarantor is needed.
2. Central Bank issues upto 40 lacs for MDI. NO collateral, NO guarantor. They issue extra amount to bear international expenses as well (above tution fees)
