I felt ecstatic about being selected as a summer intern in the sales domain with an industry stalwart, Britannia Industries Limited. Bags were packed and my ticket was booked, I had to report to their corporate office for the induction program. The pandemic hit us and amidst the fear of losing the opportunity of a lifetime, it made me feel extremely fortunate when the team at Britannia reached out with a concept of a "Virtual Internship". The rules had changed and the field was unique, remotely boosting sales team productivity during Covid-19 was extremely challenging and strenuous. With initial apprehensions, in the beginning, the situation later made us try newer tools and techniques and urged us to constantly innovate and adapt. Our on-ground workforce was one of the first to reach the market and their relentless attitude and mindset motivated us to formulate effective strategies and make tactical changes on a day to day basis. Our seniors, colleagues, and channel partners were an inspiration and an epitome of the strength of Britannia's culture. Our team fought like true warriors of the essentials goods industry.

"A year at LBSIM was no less than a roller coaster ride for me. "Each step I’ve taken in my journey at LBSIM has been instrumental in inculcating and developing key competencies that I possess. As someone who is not a big fan of classroom learning, the projects, case studies, and presentations are something I have always looked forward to. One of the most fundamental things it has taught me is- the importance of perspective. The difference in opinions within team members leads to major brainstorming, which in turn stimulates creative thinking.
Before the session began, I had a list of to-do things in this institute- which clubs to get into and where to focus my energy. Cerebrate was an alteration to this list, completely unplanned but equally incredible. I got opportunities to present my ideas, brainstorm with the team and build events from scratch. All these experiences have contributed towards me becoming a confident and accountable leader along with being a dynamic team player."
