Interning at the Reserve bank of India sounds like an impossible task, but Himanshu believes in doing the impossible. Not believing his own luck initially, he got to work in a jiffy. From analysing P/E ratios to working with the stock market, there was never a lack of diversity. Here he talks about his experience while working in RBI and how, as a finance enthusiast, it was a dream come true.

 Admission Process and Waitlist Movement

  • Merit List Declaration
  • Selection of Programme Preference
  1. Candidature for only those programmes for which preference is given will be considered
  2. Programme preference can be edited anytime only before due date and time
  3. To know more about the various programmes, visit the official website
  • Allotment of seats (Round 1 to 4)
  1. Depends on various factors like number of seats and how the pool of candidates fill their preferences
  2. Merit rank is considered first and then the preference of the candidates while allotment of seats for a particular program.
  3. Also, if you are selected for a program which was your second choice or lower (3rd/4th/5th) and you decide to not take it, then you will only be considered for the program choice of higher ranks. Hence kindly rank the programs wisely.

There are three options to choose from (following picture for reference):

  • Yes, I want to accept the offer (allotted programme) Preference 2 (waitlisted programme) Preference 1 - This means that you have said yes to the offered programme and incase of movement will be eligible for the waitlisted programme
  • No, I want to wait for other preference (waitlisted programme) Preference 1 - This means you have said no to the offered programme but still eligible for the waitlisted programme
  • I am not interested. I want to Exit - Checking this box would mean you agree to leave the admission process

Please note that to secure the seat, you would need to pay the first installment within the due date which will be mentioned in a mail along with all the details. In case at a later period, you convert the waitlisted programme after favourable movement, you needn’t pay the first installment again. It will be internally transferred.

Please refer to the following picture for all the important dates and deadlines

If any seats are left after the 4th round, aspirants will get a mail and SMS from the institute

My rank is 480 and i want mba core. Will i get it if i only put mba core as my preference and nothing else? Suppose if i don't get it in the first list then will i get it in second without hurdles, considering that i hadn't put any other preference?
