Hi everyone, I hesitantly filled the form for KJ as I screwed CAT 74.6, Xat 72. I scored good in cmat 95.90 and thought I can at least get a call from KJ. I asked my tutor and he said cut off through Cmat is 98+, still I took the chance and applied. Guess what I got a call through XAT, totally shocked. When I went for GDPI and saw a large crowd with heavy percentiles. One guy asked my percentile and I clearly told him my Xat percentile, his reply was itne kam me ni hoga and dusra college dekh lo. At that moment I thought nikal hi jaata hu yaha se hona to hai ni. I was about to leave and somebody called my name and I have to report for registration and I thought chalo aaya hu to de deta hu. Gd went good and in PI panel asked me why u when there are a lot of other students. I clearly mentioned my percentile and showed the zeal and respect for the college. They were impressed. Today afternoon I checked my rank and it is 614.I can't believe with that low score how can I get that good rank. Looking forward to join KJ.

I am selected for PGDM Core, So i am free to choose Marketing Finance Operations etc. Is the specialization decided after considering performance in 1st year and availability of seats? Because i am sure marketing will have limited seats and more people will want it. So how does it work?

Hey everyone Adcom members I have a genuine doubt Many people are very much shocked to see their ranks. I feel there has been a big problem from the college's side. Yes I agree your percentile is not the only factor to decide but when you have clearly mentioned your parameters in the website then you should clearly follow that. 35% weightage was given to cat/xat marks. Most of us doubt if that has been followed. For me XAT- 96.04 My rank - 2128 PI- average GD - above average Acads- 93/72/63 Achievements- Played The West zonals in cricket representing Symbiosis university. I have won the best player award a lot many times. An NCC cadet. Fest head in College. ( And one of the volunteers in the interview said that if you have good sports certificates you will get more chance) Now at this moment I don't know what to do. At this percentile with achievements and descent enough acads leaving gdpi as that's a subjective one. I don't think my rank is justified. A bit more transparency will surely be welcomed. I would like to know if I can change my hostel preference later. I'm from Jaipur but I have my family there in Mumbai so If I do not apply for hostel now and after a few months apply for accomodation in hostel, will I get it?
Are PG options available? And how much money should I prepare beforehand, since the scope of lockdown lifting down is bleak
