It seems, please guide the people u know who will take cat next year and tell them that there is an official cut off for imt so that they don't waste their time and money if they are below 93,do comment below if someone got marketing or core below 93

how is imt bfs course?? I have around 96 percentile but m not expecting selection anywhere. jab yahan nahin hua to aur kahan hoga???

We have received a lot of queries regarding DCP/BFS allotment, in reference to that, we would like to make it clear that if you are selected for the DCP or BFS program, you will not be converted to PGDM Full time in the subsequent lists.
The final allocation of program/stream depends on the availability of seats, performance of the candidate and a variety of other factors. It is also to be noted that when you apply for IMT, you are being evaluated for all the programs offered no matter the preference.
The waitlist movement and program allocation depend on the availability of seats and the preference mentioned by the candidate. Also, information regarding future instalments of course fee will be communicated in due course after the payment of the initial instalment mentioned in the mail.

i have been offered PGDM BFS programme at GZB, what is the scope of this programme?

I spent the entire evening researching DCP programme, and I aim to clear some doubts about it which many of us DCP converts have.
First of all, DCP is still a programme from IMT Ghaziabad, so if you have a low CAT/XAT score like me (91.5 in CAT and 87 in XAT) and are not hopeful of many calls from other top colleges, then it is our best hope of studying in a top tier B-school, because IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad are not worth it for anyone above 85 percentile unless money is an issue. I have recieved a 65% waiver scholarship for both IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad, making my total 2 year fees just under 6 lakhs for either of those 2 campuses, but my future is more important than this money. The final placements will be done at Ghaziabad, and you will spend your final year studying specializations here, so DCP is not that bad as most people make it out to be.
Secondly, DCP involves a year in IMT Dubai campus, which is honestly a great oppertunity for those who want to work hard and grab whatever comes by them with both hands. Sure, you will have to work harder than IMT-G full time students, but if you work smart and perform well, then you can have a solid oppertunity during the final placements.
Now onto some disadvantages that are unavoidable. It is harder to find summer internships in Dubai as compared to India, especially for those not in marketing specialization. So prepare some contacts in Dubai as soon as you go there, if you choose DCP course. There have also been reports of clashes between IMT-G full time students and DCP students in final year due to DCP students being a dark horse of the institute, but as long as you are mentally strong and professionally capable, you will make more friends than enemies in your final year at Ghaziabad campus. Finally, there has been an information that a few companies don't prefer DCP students, which I presume are those mainly India-based ones. But the institute does not allow recruiters to view their course in a written form, so during personal interviews during placements, those few companies will try to get verbal info about your course from you. If you manage to tackle the question smartly, you will overcome a minor but important obstacle.
The major hurdle is the course fees, but seeing it is just 5 lakhs extra than the regular full-time courses, I don't see it as a bad investment at all. How you handle DCP depends on you; if you relish challenges, DCP is for you. If you want to be in a safe zone inside India and don't want to travel outside, then DCP is not for you.
I have decided to stick to my DCP allotment, and will forego TAMPI in favor of this. Will only wait for final results from IIM Nagpur and XIMB, which are at higher personal preferance than IMT-G for me, failing which I will join this course. Good luck in making your final decision; don't see the money to be spent, see the future which you will be shaping to.
