Can anyone from the adcom tell about the scenario of corporate competitions at IIM Raipur? What's the number of achievements in Corporate Competitions and Bschool Competitions? Thank you

I know none will be able to predict on account of lack of previous year's data.


But what are the chacnes of an EWS candidate to convert at WL 310.


Given that the last year number was 217 -52 = 145 and no old IIM had considered the EWS quota last year.


Do i even i have a chance?

                               B-school competitions in IIM Raipur

There has been a lot of hue and cry in this page over D2C competition.

While D2C is an important platform in which competitions are floated, it is worth noting that year we were ranked 13th among all B-Schools on the basis of our performance in the competitions. This is is the highest rank awarded amongst any of the new IIM's. Please note that this not to demean any other institute and their achievements. Many companies float the competitions directly in the campus. All the major competitions are floated in IIM Raipur like any other campus. You can check from the official LinkedIn, Instagram page or some friend studying in the campus for the veracity of it.


IIM Raipur has been previously winner of most of the coveted d2C event including ISCEA ,HUL Lime, Amazon Ace, TATA steel, reliance TUP, V Guard, ET PRIME, India Mart, Some have even secured PPO and PPI opportunities through them. Students have also represented the college in national finale of esteemed competitions like Piramal, ICICI Lombard, AbInBev, Reliance TUP 2, Deloitte International study competition, Infosys Ingenious, TVS credit , RBI. etc which is a great learning experience in itself. All these competitions and many more will be floated in major institutions. The onus is on an individual to participate and learn from seniors and batch mates.


Also, these competitions are not the only criteria for learning. Short term projects floated by many companies are also a good learning experience. You can also approach companies on your own for the same.

In addition, there is learning experience in many clubs and committees as well.

MBA is not like a one-way road which everyone must walk by, everyone can derive their maximum based on their potential and interests.
