Interview Experience #2 (Tarun Budhwani - PGP03 IIM Amritsar student)
I entered the interview room with a lot of confidence as my WAT went very well. There were two Panellists. The interview started with them asking for my certificates.
Panellist 1: I am impressed with your achievements in extra-curriculars now impress me with your academic knowledge.
Me: Sure sir.
Panellist 1: Asked a technical question on taxation (as I was a Commerce fresher)
Me: Took around 1 minute, asked for a pen and paper, finally replied with- I don't know sir.
Panellist 1: Smirked (Threw the pen on the table)
Me: Sir, can you ask me a different question?
Panellist 1: No! Kuch nhi ata isse (while looking at Panellist 2)
Panellist 2: You are from Ajmer, right? Who is the MLA there?
Me: Told.
Panellist 2: What is the difference between Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha?
Me: Told.
Panellist 1: Define Inflation?
Me: Told (Partially correct)
Panellist 2: Effect of CRR on inflation?
Me: Explained in detail
Panellist 2: What is the current CRR, SLR, Repo and Reverse Repo Rate?
Me: Told.
Panellist 1: Economics pasand h?
Me: Yes sir. (Not really)
Panellist 1: Why do you want to join IIM Amritsar?
Me: Sir, it is the fastest growing new IIM, they doubled their batch strength in the second year itself and I believe I'll find better opportunities there as compared to the current offers I have.
Panellist 2: Better opportunities? Tell me two FMCG's who visited IIM Amritsar last year.
Me: Told 3 of them.
Panellist 1: Thank you Tarun, you may leave.
Result: Converted in the first list itself.
Takeaways: Don't feel intimidated even if the start of your interview is unsettling, keep calm and wait for your moment. My political and economic know-hows helped a lot, hence reading newspaper daily will be fruitful. All the best guys 📷

Help me out ! I am planning to take admission and had to submit original 10th 12th marksheet at DBE Delhi university. Will document verification take place during GDPI this year Or we just need the Xerox or gazetted copy. I Dont want to miss that completely as I have bleak chances in every IIM criteria. GEM Fresher 96.79℅le 86.33/86.80/77.10 Do unavailability of original 10 & 12 th is going to be a problem at WAT PI

The website says by may end, we might get the final results.
So the process should be over by Mid may and not get extended to june right?
