A Christmas Break That Made Our Live Project Lighter at IBI

At I Business Institute (IBI), Greater Noida, life is always buzzing with activities. Between lectures, projects, and presentations, our days are packed, but somehow, our faculty always finds a way to make learning feel light and joyful. This Christmas was the perfect example.

Amid our live project, when everyone was buried deep in research and deadlines, our faculty surprised us with a Christmas celebration on campus. It came like a breath of fresh air, a beautiful reminder that no matter how busy life gets, we should never forget to take a break and enjoy little moments.

The whole vibe changed that day! The campus looked stunning, with a sparkling Christmas tree and red-and-white balloons everywhere. Everyone showed up dressed in festive colours, and suddenly, work pressure turned into laughter, music, and friendly banter. The best part? The faculties joined in too. It felt less like an institute and more like one big family.

What really touched me was the thought behind it. Our faculty didn’t just organize a celebration; they gave us a message, enjoy your journey even when it’s hectic. In management, we study work-life balance as a theory, but that day, we experienced it for real.

The celebration ended with a lot of smiles, selfies, and the spirit of togetherness.

As we returned to our project work after the celebration, everyone felt more relaxed, connected and motivated. That small Christmas break did not slow us down; it actually recharged us.

If there’s one thing this Christmas taught us, it’s that success doesn’t just come from hard work, it also comes from keeping your heart light, your mind fresh, and your spirit joyful. And that’s exactly what life at IBI is all about.

A Festive Respite: How Our Faculty Turned the “Live Project” Heat into Christmas Cheer
The life of PGDM students usually revolves around assessments, study, and live projects. We also had no difference; we were fuelled for our live projects, which provided hands-on experience with customer interaction, learning selling strategies, and management. But just as the fatigue was starting to set in, our faculty pulled off a masterstroke of timing and heart.

After the live projects that pushed our skills to grow, our teachers greeted us with the smell of fresh cake and a faculty team that had traded their “stern evaluator” hats for Santa hats.

It wasn’t just about the decorations and celebration; it was the intentionality behind it. Our professors recognised that while live projects build our resumes, moments of connection build our spirits.

The celebration was a perfect reminder of why we chose this college. Beyond the rankings and the curriculum, there is a community that cares. Seeing our mentors take the time to organise various games to freshen up our minds, lighten our stress and help us to forget about our weekly fatigue. This small gathering made a big change in the way of teacher-student relations. The thoughtfulness was like the care we needed.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Thank you for pushing us to excel during the projects, but thank you even more for knowing exactly when we needed to stop and celebrate. You taught us a valuable leadership lesson today: that the best way to manage a high-performing team is to treat them like family.

Merry Christmas

The Secret Sauce of Our Classroom: Why “Strictly Friendly” is the Best Way to Learn

In the high-value world of PGDM, the relationship between a student and a professor is often seen as a one-way street: lectures, assignments, and grades. However, on our campus, we’ve discovered a different dynamic—one that sits at the perfect intersection of rigidness and laxity.

The “Strictly Friendly” Paradox

At first, “strict” and “friendly” seem to be opposites. But in IBI, the faculty presents the blend into the culture of work. They are strict about the things that matter - deadlines, ethics, and the depth of our research. They never settle for “okay” work but push us to think out of the box and defend our logic until it’s right.

The twist arrives

When we are complete, the bullets of logic and questions end, and the wall of fear and strictness also disappears. We are set free to ask questions, to present our thoughts, and to explore every aspect of our thoughts.

Comfort Leads to Clarity

We have all always been in the classroom where we were too intimidated to raise our hands to question. Our professors have dismantled that fear by being approachable, whether in staffrooms, lecture breaks or a late-night message. They created a "psychological safety net” which helped us to overcome the fear of being judged.

They taught us that no question is dumb and treated us like their junior colleagues, looking to learn and experience rather than just roll numbers. They act as active mentors, not just teaching us but guiding our path and shaping our personalities.

This friendly yet firm approach mimics the real corporate world. That prepares us to deal with tough bosses who still value open communication.

More Than Just Teachers

A huge shout-out to our faculty for not being the “sages on a stage,” but rather “guides by our side.” You kept us on our toes with your high standards, “AHA” (At Hostel Assessments) and discussions on case studies, and kept us moving forward with your constant encouragement.

It’s the balance that makes the long hours of studying not just bearable, but actually enjoyable.

Whcih is better - IBI vs GIMS

Both IBI and GIMS are reputable names in Greater Noida, but there are some differences in career goals.

Placement ROI: IBI typically sees a higher average package (approx.₹12.5 LPA) compared to GIMS (approx. ₹7.5 LPA). If you are looking for a higher starting salary ceiling, IBI has the edge.

• Faculty: IBI is having 100% PhD faculty primarily from IIMs and XLRI, focusing on a premium, mentorship-driven culture.

• Curriculum: GIMS is good for general management, but IBI offers deeper specialisation in Business Analytics and International Business with a mandatory 50-day corporate orientation. They also provide more practical knowledge and provide an industrial exposure by providing proper industrial visits.

• Certifications: IBI includes Global Certifications (like IFRA, Canada) within the program, which adds weight to your resume for MNCs.

For further in-depth knowledge, please visit college official website and contact the admissions office for further information. You can also visit the campus for a better understanding and information.
