Hey @Faiyaz.Khan,
Below are the selection criteria for the programmes at GIM:
Candidates need to qualify minimum cutoff criteria to be eligible for admission.
This yearâs cutoffs are yet to be released by the institute. But, for your reference, last yearâs cutoffs for the PGDM Flagship programme were as follows:
XAT: 80%ile
CAT: 87%ile
GMAT: 600
CMAT Rank: AIR 511
The shortlisting is done on the basis of an overall composite score. The weightage of each of the components are as follows:
Objective assessment (based on XAT, CAT, GMAT or CMAT score) - 40%
Past Academic Records - 15%
Work experience, if any - 10%
Face to Face evaluation (GD + PI) - 30%
Profile Assessment Index - 5%
There is no specific cut-off criteria for the PGDM-HCM,BDA and BIFS programme. This is because, to be successful in these programmes, the overall profile of the candidate is much more important than just the entrance exam cut-off.

Hello, what is going to be the likely XAT cut off for the 2023 admissions?
How can someone from Arts background prepare for GAAT ? Also how to study Statistics and Technology and Business Awareness as both are very vast areas and have multiple topics ? Any particular site from where a non-statistics student can prepare ?
What is the fee cost for 1st semister?
It is mentioned that 6 questions per section and there are total 9 sections in GAAT syllabus so out of 54 questions what is a good attempt and accuracy to definitely clear the GAAT exam ?
Hi Team,
After the acheivers round couldnât get spot offer but I have been put in merit list. I have been told I have to score in CMAT to confirm my admission.
Wanted to check

Hey @Vivek_Prasad1,
The duration of GAAT is 75 minutes with Multiple Choice Questions. You may choose to give the exam any time between 9 am and 7 pm. If you choose not to appear for GAAT, we will assume that you are not interested in admissions to PGDM BDA programme at GIM. We trust you have seen the sample questions which were published by us long back on our website.Preparation for GAAT exam should be fine if you have prepared for CAT as the level of questions are similar.
Wishing you the best for your selection process.
Hope this resolves your query!

Hey @Vivek_Prasad1,
The online test called GAAT (GIM Analytics Aptitude Test) for admission to PGDM (BDA) is scheduled for Sunday, February 5, 2023. We need a valid GAAT score as a pre-requisite for BDA admissions. Therefore, you are advised to take GAAT to enable us to consider your application for PGDM (BDA). Please note that GAAT score is mandatory for admission to PGDM (BDA) but not required for admissions to other GIM programme. We would not be able to predict how much of accuracy is required for GAAT because it depends on multiple factors.
Hope this resolves your query!
