Dear All,
Your Welcome Letter along with laptop specifications will be tentatively mailed to you next week. However, for your reference please find the specifications of the laptop below:
1. The Institute will not provide laptops and you are required to bring one on your own
2. It is advised to have a laptop with 8 GB RAM and I5 8th generation or higher, preferably with 512 SSD
3. You will need to have genuine Windows 10 and the latest Original MS Office 2019 installed. This is a strict requirement. In case you are a Mac user, you will still need MS Office 2019 installed.
4. If you do not want to purchase these from outside, the institute has a tie-up with Microsoft, through which they can provide both the OS (Windows 10 Education) + MS Office Pro Plus 2019 at a discounted price (₹ 6000)
Please note individual purchase is not allowed. It comes in a bundle.
5. If students do not wish to purchase the above from the institute, they will have to provide a copy of the invoice wherein it is mentioned that both OS & Office are pre-installed along with the name of the student, laptop serial no. and product activation keys of both to the IT Team for verification.
6. In case, a student already has the authentic OS and Office and can connect to the college's network with the older version, they need not change it. But, it is always recommended to use the latest OS as the institute's network gets updated with newer patches and some of the students might start facing problems after some time.
