What's is the point behind the undertaking form? Suppose the majority of the people chose to fill the undertaking form.. then how will the wait list move? And even if I can pay 10k today, why should I pay the money instead of filling the undertaking form?

I have got email today so i have been wait listed for pgdm right?so in WL logic if i select 2nd option then i will get pgdm or bfsi. So if tomorrow i get email regarding wait listed for bfsi then again do i have to pay 10k or the fees paid for pgdm will be considered??? Please reply it is really confusing.

I have been offered KJ Somaiya Core. However I am not able to compare both colleges(GIM & SIMSR). Though I am in a waitlist but I would still like to know a few things about GIM so that I can take an informed decision in case I am offered admission at GIM in future.
1. I am interested to go into the IT-Consultancy in future but I couldn't find the placements in the consultancy domain in the placement report of GIM. Can anyone shed light on what's the Highest, Median and Average placement in Consultancy domain at GIM?
2. SIMSR has triple sharing room. I want to know if GIM has double occupancy or single occupancy non AC rooms.
3. Does GIM also have tie up with various foriegn universities and encourage every student to spend a certain amount of time period abroad? And if limited number of students get the opportunity to go aborad for a while then how those students are choosen for the same?
Please help me get an idea and some sort of clarification regarding the same.
What if I sign the undertaking and realise that I won't convert after looking at the waitlist number, then do I save myself from 1000 processing fee of the refund? Because according to AdCom there must be no difference between signing the undertaking and paying 10k. Is there a way to keep this in check?
I have been placed in waitlist for PGDM only and also i applied for PGDM only but i used WL logic and selected the first option that i am interested in the target programme.. But now i get to know that WL logic is just for those who have been waitlisted in multiple programme.. What should i do now?? Will there be any problem.

There are two ways to show your interest in the waitlist movement as far as I can understand from the email communication. One can either pay 10k amount or fill out the undertaking provided in the email. So I wanted to clarify this again with the ADCOM members if it okay.
Since it would be really difficult for me to arrange 10k amidst such times; I would like to know if I choose to fill out the undertaking and not pay the waitlist amount, will I still be eligible for the waitlist?
Also I would like to know if the students who paid 10k will be given higher preferance than those who filled an undertaking?
Please reply and resolve my query.
@Adcom 1.Can you confirm that if we fill the undertaking instead of paying 10k we will be given a waitlist number? Or Is the undertaking only to delay payment date(i.e. to delay the payment deadline of 5th May & then subsequently, those who have given undertaking would need to pay the amount anyways after a few more days to get their waitlist number?) 2. Does not paying 10k & instead filling the undertaking affect my chances in any way? Please give some more clarity regarding the undertaking thing. TIA.

Suppose if we pay ₹10k now, instead of filling the undertaking, then we stand to lose ₹1k if we are not selected later. But guys who filled up the undertaking will not have to bear that ₹1k processing fee. Any opinions upon this adcom?
Hello adcom, The third option in WL logic is further extended after a paragraph. Can you please clarify to me that if in case my first preference gets converted and i opt for for third option in the WL logic..then how things will take place?
