I have received mail regrading shortlist for spot interview for PGDM BFSI. I am more interested in the core program.
What if I donât attend the spot interview? Will it affect my candidature for the core program.And if I do attend the spot interview will I be considered for core program as well?

Being in spot round drastically increases your chances of securing admission in GIM before the merit list and wait list of regular round is released. However, only the top performers of spot round get the final admission offer.

I have the same query as Disha. I have applied for PGDM and BIFS course, and received the spot interview mail for BIFS only. I didnât really understand the spot interview thing as there is no information regarding this on the website. Please throw some light on this including its importance, and how it affects our shortlisting process in application of both programs.

Even if one doesnât get offer after spot round , will he be still considered for regular merit list ?
Hey, so I was in the spot round in January 2020. I was at the campus, and it was a 3-4 day thing. Each day I think they called around 100-150 candidates. We had 3 rounds (GD + Written and two PIs), all happening on the same day. Around 15%-20% of the candidates who appeared got the final spot offer for admission. I also got a scholarship of around 4 Lakhs (fees for the 2020-22 batch was 16 lakhs around). I withdrew from GIM around May 2020, once I converted another college. Hope this helps.

The number of spot offers vary as per the number of eligible candidates in a given round. The selected candidates receive the spot offer email few days after the spot interview.
