Hello Geeta,
Hope you are doing well.
One needs a minimum of 50% in graduation to be eligible for applying. Last year’s cut-offs for CAT were 85 for PGDM, 79 for PGDM IB, 77 for PGDM FM, and 60 for BDA. Also your overall profile will be considered. Therefore, you have decent chances of getting shortlisted for the process. However, this is just for reference and nothing can be predicted with certainity.

Hack it to Crack It!
Your Guide for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews

  1. Read newspapers regularly so that you don’t fall short of knowledge on current affairs. Having knowledge of political, economic, social and Science & Tech issues of recent times, always proves useful.

  2. Enter the discussion at the right point i.e. when others are taking a small pause or have completed their point which you can counter or elaborate on.

  3. Be loud and assertive but be polite in explaining your points.

  4. It is not necessary to arrive at a consensus during a GD. Candidates can have different opinions but what is important is concluding the discussion with convincing points and with civility.

  5. Ensure participation by showing maturity and putting up relevant points. Build your arguments with facts, figures, and situations. Keep a logical approach throughout the GD. It becomes easy to build on others’ arguments and conclude.

As management professional are always put into jobs that require them to communicate with client/customers is MBA a right course for someone who is shy?

Hey, If anyone on this group is a professor or an educator in general, please feel free to respond. I completed bcom in 2021 and have 90+ percentiles through, I am currently preparing for XAT in 2023, but I have always aspired to become a professor, so my question is should I go for Mcom which is recommended for lecturer position or should I go for MBA & then peruse my dreams, what is better?

FORE Delhi has been offering its Core PGDM for a long time and its 30th batch will be graduating the next year 2023. This course offers dual specialization among a list of eight other specializations i.e., MARKETING, INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, STRATEGY, FINANCE (BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT), COMMUNICATION, IT, QTOM, ECONOMICS, and OBHR. However, if one is enrolled in any of the other three courses- PGDM (IB), PGDM (FM), or PGDM (BDA) they will only have one other specialization to choose from, the first one being IB, FM or BDA.

Moreover, the 31st Batch of PGDM Core, 16th Batch of PGDM IB, 5th Batch of PGDM FM and 3rd Batch of PGDM BDA is currently in place for the year 2022-24.

All these courses are offered at a different percentile cut-off (updated details of which are available on the official website of FORE Delhi). Alongside the cut-off, the seats offered under each course i.e. Core, FM, IB, and BDA are 180, 120, 120, and 60 respectively.

Last but not the least, there is a complementary course named International Immersion Programme (IIP). It is spread over one full week, wherein the students attend half-credit courses of their choice and visit industrial/corporate locations and sites of historical importance at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
