i have done following attemps in each section. 15 in QA/Di and expecting all correct. 18 in sec 2 and 9 lr are correct for sure.
So,worst case : 13/15 in 1 sec + 13/18 in sec .
Best 15/15 in sec 1 and 16/18 in sec 2.
How much can i expect ? which colleges to go for. 3 yrs wrk ex and decent academics (75-85) in 10th 12th and b tech.

Hello everyone! I am new here(I didn't even know this site existed till I gave my CAT!). I gave my CAT on 11th Nov in the first slot. I didn't attempt 3 questions in Quant and I am 100% sure that one of the questions that I attempted was wrong. I am not sure how many were correct. For Verbal/LR, I had to leave an entire LR passage(3 questions) as I ran out of time, and I left 3 verbal questions as well as I wasn't very confident of them. Again, I am not sure how much I attempted correctly but I think I should get at least 20+ in each section.
I never managed to give a mock test due to certain reasons but I am hoping to get a decent score in the CAT.
Anyway, I just wanted to wish all the best to you guys! This is a fantastic community that you have here, and I hope I will be able to add to it!
I have been getting a lot of queries from students about normalization and relative level of difficulty of CAT across slots. CL Academic Team has just released a Research Report on their findings of the CAT 2013 attempts data. I will advise you to read the same.

yes, i know it is a controversial discussion but i am telling what i felt about CAT.
1. it is an unnecessary hype that difficulty level varies across slots. it does not. And if it does by +- 5% max. .. [Based on discussion with a set of friends -one gave during 1st week, one gave on 10-Nov and i gave on 1-nov and a few more].. actually level is same. Got similar comments from many folks. Let's say take reasoning- all told me dat in one set they give very less data.then in each set they give diffrent data and ask for true/false.. 1 set is easy in all slots on arrangements/rankings ertc.
2.it is very imbalanced in quant like u can get 5 questions from LOG too but thats totally fair. If dey give questions from each section then CAT is Child's play.u can do 10 chapters i like and succeed. but dats nt the case.
Open to discussion.

I gave my CAT on 10 nov. 2013. Did anyone here got the LR set on family tree watching TV on five days a week. I tried solving it twice still could not match the answers. I think it was a wrong set. Please confirm if you also got this set.
