Guys, I missed my CAT Paper due to rude and unconcerning behaviour of the officials of CMS who were there during the checking of admit card at the CAT centre. I had scheduled my paper on 10th November,2013 and reached at the centre as per the given time (i.e 1:30 hr before) with my admit card and ID proof (Driver's License). As I gave my admit card and ID proof for the check to the CMS official there he checked and pointed out a name mismatch in the Driver's License and in my admit card. As the name printed in the Driver's License is 'Naveen Kumar' and in CAT admit card it is 'Naveen Kumar Jangra' he denied to give me the permission to take the CAT exam. It was about 9:00 AM till this time. I requested him persistently to give the permission as the Driver's License was the only identity proof I had at that time with me and it was original. But still he refuted to consider it. I also presented him an dependent card of Indian Air Force as a supporting document which has my photo in it with my father name and valid signature of Ist class gadgeted officer . Still he refused to give me permission. Then he gave me an option to get an affidavit from a nearby property dealer in that area who also makes affidavits and told me to return till 9:30 am. I ran from there and went for searching the dealer. When I reached there I got to know that the property dealer was not there and he had gone out for some work. I ran again to the centre and reached at about 9:20 am. Then I again reported to that CMS official and informed him about the absence of dealer there. Then he called up at some number (might be CAT officials) and reported my case to them (about the name mismatch). The people on the line told him not to allow me for the test. The moment he listened it he wrote "Not allowed" against my name in the list he had with him without giving me anymore chance to do something. He then gave me a helpline number to talk about my concern. I didnt bring the mobile phone at the campus as it was prohibited in the exam so I requested a person nearby for mobile. I talked to the CAT helpline and they also refused me to take the test. It was about 9:30 till now. I was totally shocked as I had never thought of such thing would happen with me and CAT will welcome me in this way. The exam for which I was preparing from past five months and toiling hard in non-home city in a Paying Guest house far from the family. Finally the person said that I will not allow you to take the test. Then I told him that I will do something and get him an affidavit before the exam starts anyhow but please allow me. Then he said to me that it would not be of any use as it is already 9:30 and we dont allow candidate to enter past 9:30 am. I was totally broken till then as I was not able to do anything to save my exam. Guys, I am in a very dire situation as I not able to answer to anyone about my exam. Guys, when I checked the CAT website I found that the name on admit card has to be as per the matriculation certificate not as per the Driver's License or any other ID proof. Moreover, it is not the condition of name change as written on the CAT website to present any affidavit or valid proof. I know partially it is my mistake that i did not take a ID proof having same name as it was in admit card but still i had enough of documents to prove my identity. Just not having a surname printed on ID proof (Drivers license) could not be the reason for not allowing a person to give exam and wasting his precious time (a complete year) and money. Please give me any suggestion or idea. I dont know how to deal with it . Shall I lodge a police complaint against IIM CAT or other thing. so that I can at least get my money back and also punish the person who behaved rudely and uncooperatively.
I scored 194 in the Sept attempt of CMAT-2013 with AIR-5181.
Please suggest me the colleges I should apply to.

20 attempts with 90% acccuracy fetch 94 percentile
Also kindly help me guys wat r colleges still available i can able to apply ... for the above criteria ??
I have this doubt about normalization....does it give more weightage to accuracy over raw score?...lik if some one has 23 correct and 5 wrong and another person has 22 correct and 2 wrong..will the second person get a higher percentile?...and also 23C and 5W will obviously get more than say 21C ??
Pagalguy is full of narcissists. Everybody is getting 99 %ile here. Everybody has attempted 20+ questions in Quant and 30 questions in Verbal section. Some have even put their ranks and percentiles under Signature. Funny! Really Funny! 👏
Just received a phone call from Prometric office , they assured me the complain I put for a question has been reviewed , the question has been identified and sent to IIM staff for their judgement , not sure what they do with the question , Prometric did a wonderful job for sure 👏 . Although giving a wrong question was in itself a blunder , they could have went away without informing the candidates , quite confident they'll be fair wrt that question.
