Has anyone giving his/her CAT in "All india institute of local self government,New Delhi" ???
Hi. I was going through the Admissions Policy of some of the IIMs. Some of the cutoffs in UG scores are at 60%. Now, I have a 60.2 % in BE. So, would it be considered in the category of "60+" or just rounded off to 60 and assigned a lower weightage?
Hi
I am a fresher n had my exam on 21st oct. I solved 16 quant n 23 in verbal (1q wrong in both). what percentile can i expect??
It was a kind of mixed day for me, both with the exam as well as to the point of reaching to the exam centre. Hehehehe…dats sound interesting and bad for someone who have his CAT exam J J…Well I tell you what happened on 23rd October 2013, the day I had to appear for my CAT exam.
I got up at 12.30 from my study table to get ready for my exam. My friend had to pick me up from my house for the exam. He came in Maruti Swift. He came at 1pm and we made our way towards the exam centre, a college named Institute of Management Studies, Dehradun. O Shit, a bad thing happened on our way, my friend did not got his admit card for the exam. hahahaah……dats sound strange huh J…Well what we can do now…..we took a round turn and headed to the nearest printing shop. We took the the printout from a shop, but it had a fault. The stupid man took only half the print of the admit card…He was a fool or what we can say J ..The time was running out and we had to reach the exam centre at 1.45pm for check in….But we couldn't do that. At 1.45pm we were still in the shop…..Dats strange too, what were we doing there at this point of time…. J
Then we took the half printout, stared angrily at the shopkeeper and rushed towards our car. Yes, we gave him his money… J My friend has some further plans to make us late…He bought a 5 rs chocolate from the shop next to the print shop. He had the notion that one should eat chochlate before giving any exam. J WELL we did that too….Then we rushed to our car, thinking that we will get late for our exam. My friend Prabhat gave me high hopes that we won't get late….Well he was exactly right…He drove the car at 80 kmph on the road….It was an interesting drive, but I threatened him that you are the one who got us late for the exam J But at 2.15pm we were at our exam centre..I had a huge sigh of relief..Yep we have reached our centre and the most important thing was that they were easily allowing entry for late comers. Well I showed my admit card and id to the invilgilators who were sitting outside and made my way to the exam hall. Well before the exam we had some check in process comprising of thumb impression and image scanning in front of the computer by the invigilators. We were made to sit for half an hour in the classroom before the exam. I and my friend chatted a lot and discussed some important formulas before the exam.
We entered the computer hall where we had to give the exam at 3.15pm.I was little bit nervous, but had to keep my nerve at that critical moment. The first section came on my screen. I attempted 15 questions in it. The questions were tricky and a little on the tougher side in quant section. Well the question I attempted, I am sure of getting 9-10 correct. The second section was very comfortable for me. I attempted 16 questions in it. I am sure of getting 12-13 correct in it. Well the paper overall has some ups and downs for me. Overall it was a moderate paper, with quant tough and logic/English easy. The one thing I like was that my friend was sitting adjacent to me in the exam. I was in seat no. 17 and he was in seat no. 16.hehehe JJ But couldn't ask a single question from him, as there were 6-7 overhead cameras watching us.
Well I had a “theek thaak” kind of feeling after the exam. Jo hua so hua..lets look ahead for other exams which I have namely NMAT,SNAP,MICAT,XAT….. J My overall day was amazing and tiring .But it went well………… JJJJ
Puyzzz Anyone from Visakhapatnam..??

Anyone with MOHALI centre for CAT on 6 Nov...????😁
guys in a moderate slot,an attempt of 18 in quant with 14 right will fetch me what percentile???i knw its difficult to answer but any intelligent guesses???
guyss,,what it takes it score 95+ perecntilee..
just 9 LR questions (since none is formulae based, we should be able to do if we practice fr even a month.. 3 hours a day),,
Just 1 RC- 3 ques()considering at least 1 easy set in each slot.. looks feasible..right ?
dats ol..u r done with sec 2..

1) How many attempts you have made?
- 16 in Quants (Should get 14-15 correct)
- All 30 in Verbal (9 LR should be correct, can't comment on Verbal, should get 20-21 correct in VA+LR)
2) Your last mock score?
- Last year CAT 93.29 Percentile.
If you are there at repository thread, please provide the link here.
3) How was your experience of the test?
Quants was tougher than all the IMS simCATs. DI was moderate. VA was easy. RCs were the simplest of all the RCs I came across in the simCATs. The questions based on RC were little tough. All of them had a question on the tone of the passage, and what would you ask the author if you were to interview him. One LR set was very easy. It took me 2 minutes to answer all the 3 questions in that LR. Other 2 were moderate. No glitches in the test environment. It was good. No glitches. I was assigned a cubicle where I was the only one to write the test.
4) What was the surprise element for you?
Easy RCs.
5) Any tips to handle the computer based exam better?
I shouldn't comment.
6) Your overall analysis of the exam. Toughness, new topics, sections etc.
Quants section was tough but then VA section was easy. So OA, the exam was moderate.
7) Any other query or something you would like to share.
Puys, share your feedback
