Well, I have been pondering over this thought for sometime now - How to get into top IIMs namely Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta and Lucknow in today s scenario. I have seen people getting baffled by the criterion of top IIMs in India and bugging themselves to the extent that it starts hindering...
i wanted to ask what is the shortlisting criteria for cos in b schools like iift which don't give importance to academics?i mean even after getiting into a bschool and spending 15 lacs are academics going to play spoilsport in placments?

TIME/CL/IMS --> You can get mock papers from these institutes either through website or their center.
Test Funda / TCYOnline --> These are 2 websites that also have mocks available. And 1 or 2 mocks could be given for free as well as far as I know..

Now, that will vary from company to company.
But as far as I have experienced, Top and Branded companies mostly have academics as one of the criteria for selecting students. Exceptions are always there.
Nevertheless, those with poor acads also get opportunities in few good companies. You will have to grab those as and when it comes.

If you are consistently scoring 80-90 %ile in AIMCAT, you should def apply to FMS, NITIE.

@pooja123456 Well obviously yes it is possible to convert a call at 98%ile. But what all colleges are you talking about. If you talk about IIM A, B, C then yes it would be tough, but there are other colleges that take 98%ilers and if you work hard and give your GD PIs in full earnest then none can stop you. it is to bring to the notice of all those who are dissatisfied with the current shortlisting criteria of IIMs(10th/12th acads criterion, marks based on gender criterion which clearly goes against right to equality etc.) that i got an opportunity to meet in person one of the admission committee's staff( a respected professor) of one of the top-notch IIMs and i asked him about the skewed criteria currently on display. this is what he had to say:

in his personal opinion he isn't happy with the current set of selection criteria which is grossly unfair. he told that there are some puppets of a powerful politician ( ex-hrd minister and currently looks after another major department) who have been directed by this politician to do what we have witnessed in the past few years that is to discriminate against a particular section one way or the other. in fact one of them( puppets) is currently the director of an IIM, which was the first to discriminate and i hope all of you know which IIM is being talked about. he told me that he is surprised that nobody in the student community has raised any alarm about this discrimination based on gender, marks etc. etc. he has advised me that if students feel cheated by the current set, they must come together and make some noise about it through good newspapers, tv channels etc. etc. he said that if this can be done, there will certainly be positive changes made in the admission criteria this year itself as people in admission committee are quite afraid of any type of negative publicity of theirs or their institutions. he also told me that since nobody has raised questions or made any hue and cry about it , they are continuing with the same trend. there are other professors too who are unhappy about the same but can't do much unless students themselves take a stand on this.
so, my appeal to all those who have contacts in respected newspapers and other media and if they can publish an article citing the discrimination being faced with a signature campaign, it could really set things right this year itself. i repeat please speak out against it as it is for our own collective good.

The identification card we need to bring for the reporting of the CAT, Does it has to match with the Admit Card in case of "address"? Since all my Id cards display my past residential address. Can anybody tell me, would it occur any problem while reporting for the test?
