@snedan it is not just novels, read as much as you can. Read newspaper, novels, magazines. Keep looking for new words. Whenever you are reading keep dictionary with you. It will help you a lot.
And read novels which you like. You will enjoy reading them and in the process you will improve your verbal ability. Dont force yourself to read (novels) something which you dont like because sooner than later you will lose interest. But yes newspapers and magazines are must.

@dusaj26 Yes you should. Aim higher. If you are scoring in the 90s in your AIMCATs consistently then for sure you should go for these colleges. Keep your options open. All the best.
I have two questions.
Hi,I am new to the forum. Learnt about it at my coaching from a friend. Looking forward to participate and help.

Hello everyone,I'm preparing for CAT 2013 since May end and I was done with all the basics and study material of TestFunda by july end.But after that from the end of july till now I couldn't concentrate on the CAT preparations due to placement sessions in our college. So my scores have really dropped. My AIMCAT score in july was 97 and now I have been scoring in the 60s since the last one month.Feeling really depressed as I was the topper in class and among friends once..!Guys,will I be able to cover up and bring back my old form in the coming one month??Please suggest something...😐

Symbiosis International University has from this year brought the complete admission process for the MBA programs offered by all its institutes under one umbrella. There will be a single registration process and a single personality assessment round including just a Personal Interaction and a Writing Ability Test - PI-WAT process - for all the programs across campuses at Pune, Noida and Bengaluru. The Group Exercise (GE) process has been done away with. The candidates for the PI-WAT process will be selected on the basis of their SNAP test scores and academic profile (AP) scores. AP scores will be calculated using the formula given below. AP = (A*1) + (B*1.5) + (C*2.5), where A, B and C stand for scores obtained in Std X, Std XII and Graduation respectively. [Doesn't it bear an uncanny resemblance to IIMA's all new Application Rating (AR) Score?] The SNAP score (out of 180) will be scaled down to 40 and the AP score (out of 15) to 10 to arrive at the final score (out of 50) that will be used for shortlisting. The shortlisted candidates will then need to book slots for the PI-WAT process. The PI and WAT will carry 35 and 15 marks respectively. The final merit list will be based on the total of 100 marks with 50 marks from the first stage getting added to the 50 marks from the PI-WAT process. Registrations for SNAP 2013 will close on 22nd November, 2013. The test will be conducted on Sunday, 15th December, 2013 between 2-4 pm. The results will be announced on Thursday, 9th January, 2014. P.S. bulletin can be downloaded from the URL given below. http://www.snaptest.org/pdf/Final%20Bulletin%2005%20Sep%2013.pdf

Hello Guys,
Please suggest a MockTest series which can be useful at this point of time.
Dear All,
I am new in corporate world and GAMT / CAT / MBA. I am from defense background and now in corporate. Looking at my defense background, education and current profile….Can anyone help me understand the process for GMAT and how easy or difficult for me to get an admission in any top 20 universities in the world.
In short.. Should I drop this idea and continue with my existing profile in corporate or should I think about higher education?
I have an option to do basic MBA course designed by IIM for retd Army, Navy and Air force officers and this is not required any entrance but I feel that this small course will not give me an insight on corporate world.
Can anyone discuss with me and help me understand this world? I can be reached at [email protected] Thanks for reading and help.
Vicky
