We are provided with our work internships with various companies, but additionally, we are also given opportunities to do virtual programs or internships on Forage, where we get experiences in various fields and concepts.
We are given exposure to these programs and provided with certificates which can be added to our LinkedIn profiles and our CVs.
These programs provide us with knowledge and help us learn from various top companies and courses which we like and want to learn more about.
These programs are also provided to us by Athena, without any additional cost and we can pursue various learning experiences with the help of opportunities provided by Athena.
We are also given opportunities in classes, as well as on various forums to participate in debates.
While the debates during classes or activities, do not have a particular format which needs to be followed and the rules are given during the discussion itself, the format usually is point and discussion on the same, either supporting or opposing
Other national and international debate opportunities are also given to the students, with the parliamentary debate format and the rules of the same assigned working with people from different states and countries, and working together on new topics, coordinating and researching with them.
Additionally training sessions on how these debates are conducted and assessed are also taught and explained. Certification for the same is provided as well to showcase the experience.
These opportunities also help us enhance how to put our points ahead to people, noting down the feedback, and further analysing how to put our explanation ahead and answer questions. It helps us build the way we discuss things, while simultaneously being respectful.
At Athena, we are given additional opportunities to enhance and update our skill set, with online courses from edX, to study various courses offered by the various elite universities and it is free of cost, with an additional certificate provided to us, after the completion of the test modules and the course.
These courses prove useful in understanding the new things which are out there, updating ourselves, learning something new, as well as understanding the global landscape of the corporate world better. In addition to learning these courses, we get to choose the courses and learn about something, which can be an interest or a curiosity.

2. International Challenges
The project consists of developing a mini-business plan for an innovative tech-based service that will be developed in India and introduced in the Greek market. There will be co-development and co market analysis, but main responsible for the service development will be the Indian students and main responsible for the market development will be the Greek students. Another similar project will be conducted in the Romanian market with students from Romania.

The format of each semester is divided into 4 months and 2 months. With 4 months focused on theoretical and academics and 2 months on practical internships.
Each subject has 10 lectures each where 4 units are covered in addition to case studies, assignments, tests and group presentations
This is covered in 4 months, followed by exams
The next two months are internships where students get to explore their various interests through internships and learn about how the corporate world works
Exams are conducted at the end of the semester, prior to the start of the internships.
The exams are focused on theoretical parts as well as practical knowledge on the subject, with questions on the subject, short notes and case studies to understand the practical application of the subject
The exams help in gaining insight into how much the subject is understood by students and what additionally can be covered using internships.
Exams help in deeper understanding of the various subjects.
Assignments on various theoretical aspects of each subject are provided, on the basis of the concepts taught or a new topic which should be researched on
The assignments vary from subject related theoretical questions about the papers and can go up to various practical aspects of the paper, from understanding the concept to further applying it or even developing it, as best possible
These assignments lead to higher brainstorming and creativity from individuals and they can develop the way they think about a paper and the various aspects of the subject as well. Higher research and understanding takes place as we do these assignments and a learning of new things or things from the news are better understood.
Further feedback on the assignments, also helps in analysing the issues or positives of our answers and can develop into something practical as we further do internships or corporate jobs.
Presentations in various subjects and joint projects helps in understanding how to keep the audience interested in what you are trying to express, make sure you keep that attention for long term and the information should be put across in a clear and concise way.

Case studies are used to have practical exposure and analysis of various real life situations that have previously happened or hypotheticals, which help in understanding how to deal with situations that come up and how to further build on a situation strategically.
These case studies prove to add to our knowledge about how to use the theoretical aspects of a subject and use it in a practical way, when situations come up.
Case studies also lead to much more discussion between groups and different point of views come ahead which could also be solutions.
Group work is essential to build teamwork skill - set, as well as leadership in every individual. We do various group projects and COIL projects at Athena to build our technical and practical skill-set, and it helps us understand how to work with different types of people when we work together.
Another major part of group work is finding a time to work together which involves understanding time management and additionally a pace that works for everyone.
