Hi All,


For all those whose were not able to join the today's Cd session.
Posted below are topic that were discussed.

(1)we all know that nike, reebok started as an exclusive footwear brands. but now when we go there showrooms we can see that only on one side of the wall they have their shoes displayed...rest of the store is filled with t-shirts, shorts, bands etc. even these brands now have comeup with their daily wear t-shirts in addition to their sports wear.
but on the other side Reliance in playing the other way round. they have now started their different store chains for different products like
reliance mart :- vegetables, daily use products
reliance digital :- only for electronic items
reliance trends:- exclusively for appreals
reliance footprint :- exclusively footwear showroom
Please discuss the reason for these brands to adopt differnt strategies...



(2)Rape cases in India?
we recently saw come measures by govt to stop this menace...like in delhi toll free helpline num or in MP where for acused id proofs like dl passport will b taken by the govt..
are these measures efficient in stoping this meance...or what else can b done...


(3)Some info regarding BRICS nations doing really well, then how OPEC determines the oil prices and India China being large importers of the same etc. etc. Task: Design the oil policy of the country
basically discuss what india can do to curb the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country

I really apologize to the users who wanted to join but cudn't.

Actually, i believe the skype limit allows us to have a max of 9-10 people in a conference call..
Will try to divide people in groups so that everybody can get a chance to attend a CD session.

On monday i called the admission desk and asked them whether i can change my HR preference to BM, they told it is possible on interview day. Today new result link which is uploaded giving all the details regarding my preferences and showing 2 intervies( 1 for MBA and 1 for MBA-HR). Can it will be still possible for me to change my HR preferemnce to BM?

I have a query, does anybody has his/her CD/PI date for NMIMs Bangalore campus, on feb 24? My score card says on feb 24 but the poll above shows the dates till feb 23, so jus want to confirm.

I am sure the date on your score card is correct.

@manas222 : hi..i have a doubt. please clarify . I am interested in finance. i had filled the preference

1: MBA (core)

2: MBA (banking management)

3: MBA (capital markets)

in this order. I think we can change the preference when we go for CD/PI.

I wanted to ask you that if i get into MBA(core) then will i be able to choose Finance as my specialization ? or finance related courses are MBA(banking management) and MBA( capital markets) only ?

If one is shortlisted for FTMBA(Core/CM/BM)+HR then he needs to send total 2 sets of documents. If shortlisted just for FTMBA(Core/CM/BM) then only 1 set of documents..

Got it clarified from the admissions office..

Hi.. i want to attend the Skype sessions but cant due to some issues...
is it possible to mention the points/thoughts that came across the CD, (i know its a tedious job) so that it will be helpful to me and if der are more like me who couldn't attend.. We would also like to share our thought process, which might be helpful to atleast some one...
