Oops I never did that.....but i dont have MBA-HR as my preference ....may be the puys who had their preference listed had HR among their preference.....just speculating..someone pls confirm

@didroo I also didn't have HR as a preference. But why aren't the other preferences mentioned ? It only says FT-MBA & PGDM.

Stream preference: MBA(core), MBA(capital markets), MBA(Banking Management)

@van-dam i hd specified MBA HR as my preference.. but havent got a call for it.. despite clearing all cut offs.. My preferences are not mentioned in the CDPI call letter i got.. 😞

Hi all, I've received a Call Letter only for PGDM. And my interview is on the 21st of Feb.

I had the following queries:-

1. Does PGDM mean the programmes for both the Hyd and Blore campus since I had given Blore as my 2nd preference after core MBA?

2. What kind of a Statement of Purpose are we expected to write? I've written SOPs for MS programmes but what exactly is NMIMS looking for here? any samples?

3. In my call letter it is stated in the Preferences section: PGDM does this mean that I have to prepare only one draft for the PGDM program?

4. The documents can be sent by courier/speed post correct?

5. What is the cut-off for securing a call for the core MBA program?

6. Can the SOP be typed or does it have to be hand-written? Also, does it need to be sent in original or do I have to send an attested photocopy?

@anusha.itsme One way or the other,the common fact remains that some of us have not got the preferences mentioned in the letter.it is a bit confusing,since i remember clearly the preferences that i filled up in my form.Seniors,plz guide us on this.

@van-dam Right.. DId u try to call their helpline? I was told that my preferences are blank.. I m gonna call them again today!Sent them a mail too.. No replies though :(

@harman14 Plz contact Admissions department to clarify ur doubt regarding preferences.

MBA HR is not a new course in NMIMS. it was always there. Earlier Students used to choose HR specialisation in 2nd year but due to changing industry requirements HR has been started as seperate course from 2010 with specific inputs on HR from very first year itself.

Which is better Cant say it depends on what specialisaton u want

@van-dam This is a serious issue.. Seniors, can you us the contact of the faculty who is handling the admission process.. Or atleast send us the forms we filled... So that there is some document to prove that they were indeed blank at the time of submission ( which is HIGHLY unlikely as they were mandatory fields)

@van-dam As I could see people who have applied for Hyd/ bang campus have MBA- Ft written in their call letters and those who have not applied for these campuses have preferences written. MBA - Ft means MBA all courses from Mumbai Campus. Regarding which is your first preference please contact addmissions department.

I have already confirmed my ABM interview...since I received their letter on 18th jan

@anusha.itsme Will try to contact the concerned persons today in college. Meanwhile u also call. Phone numbers have been mentioned on previous pages. Dont worry everything will be sorted out.

@Abhaysood Sir,we have called the office but they are saying that our preferences are blank.how is that possible ? i clearly remember all my preferences. Sir,Plz sort this out and help us in this regard.
