I had mine yesterday. Pretty smooth it was.....apart from few things which i don't want to reveal as of now and better leave them as an element of surprise for all of you yet to be processed.... π ...
FT-MBA :
- GE/CD was pretty good. Sufficient-time.People came up with lots of good stuff and strategies. Ample time to build-up a thought after solution.Coalescing is an important part at the end.Keep that in mind. And also, addressing the problems posed is important and don't deviate from the topic as much as possible.
PI : 2 Gentleman and 1 Lady. Lady and Older fellow did most of the talking... π ...
30 Months work-experience is what i carried into that room. So,a lot of questions regarding that. None technical. All questions were based-on what i learned and how i dealt with situations that arose during the past 2.5 years. What conclusions and positive i took out of them and how i applied those in situations i faced later... π ......All chilled.I cannot say,in anyway,if i was grilled at all.
Questions came on hobbies which i said are GK,Current Affairs n Browsing Internet.
I was asked about Palghar-incident and then impact of social networking websites on our generation.....
I am an avid The Hindu and HT reader and, believe me, i had an awesome exchange of thoughts with one of the panel members as he looked very concerned and willing to engage in healthy debate over it. We talked for like 4-5 mins and the rest of the panel seemed to enjoy that. Overall, i am very much happy with my performance.
FT-HR :
GE/CD : Exercise 1 : One case study with a situation posed at the end( 1 Paragraph long)
An answer sheet was provided. 2 mins to read it and next 15 minutes to
develop your thought and write it.
Exercise 2: One case study which required numbering a set of people based on some
hypothetical situation.Later discuss it with the team-members and
come to a common consensus regarding the rating-list earlier generated
individually. Enough time. We had a nice discussion... :D....
PI : 1 Young Lady. Probably late 20's or early 30's.
1 Old Gentleman. Probably in late 50's or early 60's.
Questioned about how Indian Govt. is utilizing the Information technology revolution to its best ?? Quote with examples.
I was bang-on with Indian Railways and IT department examples.(Old man said yes in agreement to my answer.. π ....)
How can the current lot of Government Agencies can be further helped with this IT revolution in a better way ??... Illustrate with examples...
Told them my views. As we all know Indian Railways had issues with their Servers very recently(which they accepted. One of their members/minister came up with that statement). I emphasized a lot over the usage of IRCTC by common-man and how Indian MNC's like TCS(I work here),Infy,WIPRO etc can help them with a well-chalked out plan to handle the online traffic during peak hours.. :)..
A couple of questions about my Projects and course electives and I was done..!!...
Everything was very smooth and a good experience it was overall.... π ...
ATB to all those who r yet to be processed...!!...
