New IIM's GD-PI/WAT preparation thread

As the CAP result dates are coming closer, I want to know the correct order of preference for the new IIMs. Could you please suggest in the same. With all the new IIMs (except Ranchi) having their own campuses, I think the order should be IIM Ranchi >=Trichy > Raipur > Udaipur > Rohtak > Kashipur. Am I right!?... If you differ by opinion, kindly suggest your preference order with REASONS. PS - Last yr I found in many polls etc.. ppl preferring Udaipur over Raipur but after seeing this yr's placement reports( both figures and firms), I prefer Raipur over Udaipur. Let's have a fruitful discussion here 🙂

Tell me something about yourself

One of the most important questions in an interview “Tell me something about yourself” is a story line in which you should include all the areas where you want the questions to come from.

You , obviously, have to include to academic background.

They could be your passion. Could be your interest area. Could be your hobbies.

Could be your extra curricular achievements. Could be your co curricular achievements.

Could be your family business and the way you have involved yourself in it. Could be an interesting internship that you had.

The central idea is to plan to speak for 30 to 35 sec. Plan for an additional 10 seconds in case they don’t stop you.

This question could become tricky as you have to speak long enough to give them some areas of questioning and you have to speak short enough so that they don’t get bored and cut you short.

Once you write this answer in your notebook, it will take around 3 or 4 revisions to get it completely correct.

Having guided hundreds of aspirants over the years, I know many will ignore this till the last moment. But, if you are sincere with your efforts, please don’t do so.

Sincerely
