This is what someone posted on Orkut so don't know about it's authenticity though..

Today there was a hearing in the Delhi High Court in the matter of CFAI vs AICTE.The High Court has fixed the 6th of September as the date for the final disposal of the case.As regards allowing Indian candidates to sit for the Level I exam in December the High Court will consider the matter on the 10th of August.

Hey Guys..
Level 2 registration started...
But i guess Indians r not able to register for it....

lets hope atleast the 10th august hearing is favourable..........

praying real hard.....

this is really amazing ........generally students should pray for clearing the exam and we have to pray for at least allowing us to write exam...great going !!!!!

Found some more info regarding the hearing at Kprofessionals: A Knowledge Professionals Community :: Professional Education :: Court Hearing CFAI vs AICTE

If it is true, then the good thing is that we shall have the solution soon...
i am keeping my fingers crossed!

Sorry to spam with non-CFA info

Kindly check the schedule again, there has been a slight change in the speakers. No worry, Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is unchanged . His session will be in F.C Kohli Audi, KReSIT, IIT Bombay.

Thanks

Hi everybody,

I am also planning to give L1 this Dec (I haven't registered yet).

Eagerly waiting for the judgement. I am optimistic about it. I have decided to anyway start my preparation now itself. If things get sorted out and we can sit for Dec exam, well and good. If not, at least by next june, I expect them to be sorted out.

1. Can anybody suggest me what prep material to buy, the options being Stalla, Schweser and the Curriculum from the CFA Institute.

2. After going through this various posts, I am under the impression that Schweser study notes alone would be enough to pull it off. ( Kindly correct me if I am wrong here and if any other prep material has to be included).

3. I am not able to find Scheweser study notes and the TI BA II Plus calculator here in Hyderabad. I tried at few places, but these things seem so alien to everyone??:.
Anbody who knows where we can get these things from, in HYDERABAD, please let me know. I am not able to start my preparation because of this.

Regards,
RKA

P.S: Anbody in hyderabad already having the material, I am very much interested in sharing it (and the expenses too). Do PM me.

Hi Puys,

Level 2 and 3 Results are out!!!

I got through L2 .......

Just one more to go now
