Need some Opinions on CFA

Posting the update from the CFA website
================================
Dear CFA candidate,

As you may know, we filed a writ petition with the Delhi High Court on 24 May. The Delhi High Court judge heard final arguments in the matter today and has retired to write his opinion. The case is listed for Thursday, 31 May at 10:30 a.m. for the judge to announce his decision. I understand how important the CFA Program is to you and to India, and we will continue to provide you updates as they become available.

As before, although we have not cancelled the CFA exams in India for this June, we cannot guarantee that the CFA exams will be held in India as scheduled.

If you are planning to sit for the exam on 3 June outside of India, please make the most of your remaining three days to study. I wish each and every one of you the best of success in the exam.

As a reminder, if you have received confirmation of your alternate test center, or if you wish to cancel or defer your exam, you do not need to contact us. If you do not sit for the exam on 3 June, we will contact you to process information for a deferral or refund.

Again, we will send updates as they become available. Meanwhile, please continue to check our website for new information.

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Jeff Diermeier, CFA

Ritesh,
TI BA 2 plus professional is allowed in the exam. It is not very different from the normal one. You should not have any problems using it.

Thanks a lot friends!!!!
I am gonna register for Dec, 2007 L1 very soon...
any one from hyderabad appearing for the same??? Can we form a group where we can solve our queries, etc... and share material too...???

Hi Ritesh... Ashwin here... I'm from hyderabad too n m plannin to give my L1 in dec....

Any news yet on the Delhi High Court Decision ?

Guys,

Need some help.....I gave 4 of the 6 exams from book 6 of schweser. My raw scores are stuck at 65/120 or 55%. I am a bit worried as 70% score ensures a safe pass mark. How do I improve this with 2 days to go......should I just revise the material and forget about the last 2 tests or practice them without the 3 hour exam timing???:

Kindly advice

Hi
I also took the tests, my scores are 101, 105, 103, 104.
I would suggest , concentrate on session 1, 2,3,7,8,11,12. These constitute around 18 + 14 + 12 + 10 + 6 = 60 marks.
I think if youcan nail these, you wil ablw to get around 20-25 marks , in the other questions and will easilly cruise through.
cheers

Dear CFA Candidate,

I am very happy to inform you that after hearing arguments on our application for a stay of the AICTE order, the Delhi High Court decided to permit CFA Institute to give the CFA exams in India on 03 June 2007 as scheduled.

We must caution you that the Delhi High Court decision could be appealed. We will of course keep you updated if anything changes, and we are proceeding with administering the CFA exams in India on 03 June as scheduled.

If you have requested and received confirmation of an alternate test center outside of India, you may still sit at your original location in India.

If you choose NOT to sit for the exam at your original India location, we will honor all previous requests for alternate test centers, deferrals, and cancellations. If you take the exam at an alternate location outside of India, we are offering a partial exam refund of US $300 in consideration of the inconvenience and disruption caused by this situation.

If you choose to defer or cancel your exam, you don't need to do anything. We will contact you by mid-June with more information about your deferral or refund.

Please remember to bring your original exam admission ticket, and your government-issued photo ID, with you on exam day.

As before, please continue to check our website at Information about the CFA Program in India for any additional updates.

I'd like to thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this challenging time. I wish each and every one of you the best of success in the exam.

Sincerely,

Jeff Diermeier, CFA

Guys I have a question which is bothering me for some time now.I work for the s/w dept of a leading bank (yup another s/w bugger with 2+ years of crap).I was wondering if there is any demand for CFA's in software industry. I want to move into Business Analysis and Consulting.

I also plan to take my GMAT next month...so I might just scrape through in 5-6 months (June-Nov).I glanced through Schwinger notes and found them preety interesting.

Guys any opininions..

For CFA (Chartered Finacncial Analyst), CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst) or MS Finance Program Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst is the best, reason is the CFA is approved by AICTE. Ban on CA's has now ben lifted by S.Court. CFA from US has been told to leave inda , where as CFA from ICFAI is valid in US. So CFA from ICFAI is recgnised in india and Abroad. For any assistance call me at 9999417725 (Territory Head ICFAI)
