just withdrew from this racket house of an institute. shot a mail to that guy anil fron nm who had mailed all of us and raised the issues that were put forward on this forum. heres the text of it . thinking it of sending this to the media. now. that shameless dean kondap who sold his insti on that day like a sesoned salesman and is even refusing to speak to students now should be made naked in front of the country thru the media. wotsay guys.....

I would like to express my anguish at the sudden turnaround by a reputed institute like Narsee Monjee on the fee refund rules. i am checking my mail today and am shocked to see what has happened. At least the terms and conditions should have been clear before we agreed to the final admission on 19th so that we could have decided whether to join or not. Also the refund rules are from the prospectus but not the fee. which was supposed to be 133650 and not the 136650 as charged . Now that the things are clear i would like to withdraw from the institute i.e. cancel my admission as i cannot agree to the unethical standards acquired by the insitute . Please reply to me regarding the future course of action as to how the formal application is to be submitted to the registrar and complete other formalities.
I do hope that you would at least ensure that 85% of my tuition fee and 100% other fee is refunded as i have informed you within 8 days of my payment of fee. A signed application with the fee receipt will reach you soon as you reply to me about the procedure. Kindly tell me what would be refunded to me in your reply as it is hard to beleive anything from your side now.

i can't go for such a bad coll. without ne infra, facility of food and boarding and now the no. of students will also inc. ohhhhh....... no. of problems to face in a small coll.

Do follow some basic pointers while posting in a forum which has a pan India reach

See....last year the list moved upto 370 (approx) as per most ppl here. So, you will be a borderline case. Just be optimistic. According to me you have a 50-50 chance. So, don't lose hope buddy and hang on till maybe the third list !! Best of Luck.

last yr. the last rank to be admitted by merit was 379 n i hope u have a better chance this time as many people have better options to go for,
n congs to u as many like me r leaving nm even without having better options in terms of brand value (only)
i too feel that the waiting list that would be cleared this year would be higher than 380 odd that took place last year as the results of other have come out simultaneously with narsee's.i am in a similar situation as my rank is 359 and am looking forward to joining nmims.hope for the best and may the force be with you.

REFUND OF ADMISSION FEE AFTER ONE MONTH OF PAYMENT
It seems theres is some ambiguity on the refund after a month of fee deposit.The Brochure says , after the daywise breakup of refund, that "In no case any refund will be given once the foundation programme starts" It does not mention the amount paid back from the "other fees" after one month of paying the fee.
I have just sent my application of refund, but the NM people are tight lipped about the amount they will be refunding. I had a talk with the registrar,Mr. Sridhar and he indicated that since one month has passed, the amount refunded will not be much, if anything at all!!!!!....so I am wondering about your statement of 50k refund....
WIthout having attended any class at all, I find it really unfair on part of NM to forfeit the entire sum.......Moreover, the seat wont go vacant, they'll charge the wait list person who'll get confirmation, the entire fee amount as well as the fee paid by me, for the same seat.......and this must be happening to so many students who happen to get their news of confirmation in some other BSchool after a month from paying the fee at NM..........request them al to post their experience of refund here.........
I feel the one month refund deadline set by NM is too short , as all the results ar not declared by that time, plus many students are in the wait list of IIMs and other institutes, who get the confirmation late.These students either have to let go of the desired institute or face serious financial setbacks. There must be a way out......
Would litigation be a good idea? Any past experiences? 1.36 is no small sum after all.

Hi Puys...I have taken admission in NMIMS university. The course has commenced from 23rd June 2008. I have cancelled my admission on 22nd July 2008 and taken admission some where else, now they are saying that we cannot refund a single rupee from Rs 2Lac 10 Thousand which I have paid...What should I do next.... The intake capacity as mentioned in the course is 30 students while...now there are 31 students including me.... so in this case can anybody guide me as to what refund rules can apply.... reply as early as possible...thanks
