Hello!

Choosing a Right academic partner is a challenge for all of us. I remember my days when I was wondering around and looking for a suitable option for my MBA. While looking for a best option, look forward with certain factors and then check on the universities.

One of my major reason to step back from Amity was high fees very less scholarship. Also, as per the feedback received from many, I got to know that Amity has many hidden charges involved which you will get to know gradually.

This on the other side became a very strong point for LPU. The major factor that makes LPU a good choice for an MBA is its competitive yet accessible scholarship program, which waives as much as 50% of the overall course fee for students. Those who qualify the LPUNEST (i.e., an entrance/scholarship exam conducted by LPU) Category Cut-offs are offered scholarships that can help students get the required education, without burning a hole in their pockets.

Why to spends more when you get the best facilities within less budget. There are other factors as well which make LPU better than other.

I am glad that I choose the right option. I will be sharing few major highlights of LPU, I hope that helps you.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a UGC-recognized private university located in Punjab, India, which was founded in 2005 by Lovely International Trust. LPU comprises around 20 schools, with domains varying from Engineering, Law, Design, and Business. In addition to UGC, the university is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.

Mittal School of Business at LPU is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), which is a United States-based standardized accreditation organization for business programs worldwide.LPU is one of the few institutes in accredited by the ACBSP, in league with other well-known universities such as Amity University, ICBM School of Business, and Xavier Institute of Management.

In 2019, it was ranked 52nd for Management Studies by the National Institute of Ranking Framework. LPU offers two Master’s in Business Management courses, namely MBA and MBA Honors, which require two years for completion with six terms.

The terms comprise a varying range of subjects, such as Business Analytics, Financial Management, and Communication skills, whereas each year students select elective subjects that allow them to gain in-depth knowledge in their desired field. These subjects may include Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, and Retail Management.

The faculty at LPU hails from some of the best business schools not only in India but worldwide. This allows students with an opportunity to learn from the best and thus yield the best results. The majority of the professors hold a doctorate in their domain and are known to encourage a culture of a knowledge exchange.

Moreover, LPU is considered one of the best universities in India for international students, and their presence contributes to the cultural abundance at the LPU campus. Additionally, infrastructure is another big plus for LPU as it has one of the largest campuses in India with optimal facilities, such as an innovation center, air-conditioned classrooms, guest lecture halls, auditoriums, and swimming pool, within a vast 650-acre campus.

It is no secret that for MBAs, IIMs and ISBs have a certain reputation and demand. However, this understanding may be overshadowing some of the excellent universities that offer exceptional education and learning experience at a more reasonable cost. This, perhaps, is one of the most crucial benefits offered by LPU.

On the other hand, LPU provides outstanding placement opportunities after course completion, with more than 150 companies in different domains offering competitive packages every year. With these remarkable provisions, the value of an MBA degree at LPU in terms of the return of investment is significantly higher than some of the well-recognized MBA institutes in India.

I hope this helps You.

Good Luck!

MBA after Mechanical Engineering

An interesting career change! YES you can do MBA after B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. MBA will complement your technical skills with management skills, you can move upwards in corporate ladder a bit more quickly, MBA get you into the positions of decision making, thus your value in the organisation would also increase. Most of the universities and colleges offer MBA in many of its subtypes and specializations. Provided that you clear the minimum eligibility criteria and selection process. In most of the top institutions like Iims etc.

The minimum eligibility for graduation is 50% aggregate while some top players like LPU have fixed it at 55% in any stream of graduation. But the marks in graduation are not the only criteria, most of the institutions also take entrance tests or group discussions or interviews or all of them. Some top entrance examinations are: CAT MAT XAT SNAP IBSAT and LPU NEST.

So, it is perfectly okay to do MBA after B Tech provided you are eligible as per marks and also comply with the other selection criteria if any. Very important point that comes to my mind is : You must first check your interests, attitude, passion and aspiration before taking a plunge, your aptitude will be checked by the university itself with the examination or interview. It is advisable to pursue the MBA only from top institutions, as only they provide the right launchpad for your career. There are some very good business schools which offer such programs like Iims, IITs, FMS Delhi, SPJMER, Great lakes Chennai, LBSIM, JIMS, UBS Chandigarh, SIBM, SCMHRD, IBS Hyderabad, LPU Punjab etc.

Choose Wisely.

I Hope this helps.

All the Best!

LPU's has a reasonable Fee structure which is further topped up with generous scholarships in large number of categories and performance indices. FEE structure cannot be the right parameter to compare as some good universities are there to earn the excellence not money. Management is a highly dynamic field, the change is considered a the only constant! You must choose the college/university which is dynamic enough for adjustment to industry demands! Some parameters of comparison and evaluation are:
Curriculum: It must be based on industry consultations
Teaching pedagogy: Must be focused on practicals, experiential learning techniques are the best. Infrastructure: Must to support the highly demanding programme. Technology training: Tech like SAP, Github etc. Are must to improve employability
Entrepreneurship projects: To proficiency on multitasking and managing profit centers. Professional enhancement: To improve personality, interpersonal and comm skills, work ethics, professional etiquette, mannerisms and corporate culture. Student diversity: To develop right cross culture sensibilities and international networking
Community projects: To develop humane side as well as organizing skills. Extra curricular activities: To develop the responsibility skills, nuances or organizing and networking. Competitions: To develop competitive spirit and enhance knowledge base. Industry interface: to have hands on knowledge of situations in real time. Internships and other projects: For purely practical corporate exposure and research orientation. Once you evaluate the universities on these parameters, the choice is easy. My 16 years of career I education and research tell me that LPU has done phenomenal work in field of management and its Mittal School of Business is one of the best in the country. The unmatched placement record speaks for itself. DVD.
