B.Tech.(Mechanical Engineering (ME)) Duration :4 yrs. (8 Semesters)

. Eligibility Criteria
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*.
For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.
(5% relaxation to North East-states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants).

Engineering Minors
A set of 4 to 6 elective courses in engineering to enhance competency in the technical and/or emerging domain. (e.g for electronic and electrical- students taking courses in automobile/ robotics/ cyber security to build competency in this area.)
Open Minor
A set of four elective courses outside the discipline to develop additional skills. Courses can be selected from professional enhancement, management, Animation, photography, humanities, and other fields not related to the core discipline of the program.

Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate Research: A student can avail an option of undergraduate research to go beyond the obvious. The Student going for the research option will have to study four courses as Open Minor or Generic elective courses and the final year Capstone project of the UnderGraduate program will also be associated with the research options.
Study Abroad
Summer/Winter School/ International Exposure: * These Programmes generally happen in the summer vacations or winter vacations of the academic year. A summer/winter school/ international exposure is as form of educational Programme that offers courses, both academic and non-academic.

Career Pathway
A Student can choose two career pathways. One from the corporate jobs, government jobs, and higher studies offered in the scheme, and second can be taken as a generic elective/open minor basket of research, entrepreneurship, or study abroad.
