BIMTECH’s 25th HR ROUND TABLE HELD IN BENGALURU
BIMTECH organized the 25th HR Round Table on December 15, 2017 at The LALIT Ashok, Bengaluru, in association with National HRD Network and Deloitte as Knowledge Partner.
BIMTECH has been organizing Round Tables since 2011. This was the Third HR Round Table of the year 2017-18. The Theme of the Round Table was “Rewriting the rules for the digital age: Reinventing HR” with the sub-theme “The Employee Experience: Culture, engagement, and beyond”.The program commenced with the Welcome Address of Dr. H Chaturvedi, Director BIMTECH, who set the tone for the discussion. Mr. Pratik Mehta, Human Capital Advisory Practice, Deloitte Consultancy, further presented the findings of Deloitte’s Survey. Prof K K Sinha, an accomplished HR Person and curator of these Round Tables along with Dr Manosi Choudhuri, Head HR at BIMTECH were instrumental in bringing the conglomerate together for this event.The panel consisted of Mr. Lakshminarayana K., CEO, Shell MRPL Aviation; Mr. Shivakumar Venkateswaran, Chief HR Officer, IIM, Bengaluru; Ms. Smita Saha, Vice President – HR, AstraZeneca; Mr. Venkataramana B., Group President-HR, Landmark Group.The 25th Round Table was well represented by over 130 industry and corporate HR Professionals, Academicians, Entrepreneurs and senior Alumni.

A Half Day Faculty Development Programme(FDP) on "Digital Transformation and its Impact on Education" was conducted on December 27, 2017 by Mr. Aruneshshran. Mr. Sharan is currently working as Advisor and consultant in large consulting companies. He have served as the President, West Africa at ISON Group. He is a Business Leader with over 31 years of experience in leading Strategic Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing, Analytics Product and Solutions, Systems Integration and IT Services in Telecom, Industrial and Petroleum sectors.

FOUNDATION COURSE IN GENERAL MANAGEMENT (FCM)
FOR NTPC – NR & ER I
Centre for Management Development & Consultancy at BIMTECH received two groups from NTPC NR & ER I, for participating in the Foundation Course in General Management – 12 days residential program offered at campus. The batch commenced on 11th December and concluded on 22nd December, 2017. Ms. Alka Saigal, GM, Finance from Northern Region was invited as chief guest for the valedictory session. Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director BIMTECH; Prof. A. Sahay, Dean Research; Prof. KR Chari, Dean Student Welfare and Dr. Itilekha Dash also graced this occasion. Both programs received excellent feedback from the participants.

INAUGURATION OF ATAL INCUBATION CENTRE –
BIMTECHWe are pleased to announce that BIMTECH is one of the pioneering institutes that has been selected to set up Atal Incubation Centre- BIMTECH (AIC-BIMTECH) at Greater Noida. In the whole country, only 13 incubation centres have been sanctioned till date and BIMTECH feels elated to be a part of this short family. The Incubation Centre has been under the mentorship of Dr. Abha Rishi, who is the CEO of The Atal Incubation Centre. We have been fortunate to have 23 partnerships, two of them being from Amazon and Google.Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Union Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge), MoS - Environment Forest and Climate Change inaugurated the Atal Incubation Centre- BIMTECH on 20 January, 2018. Also, Mr. Kamal Singh, Executive Director- UN Global Compact India, was the guest of honor. BIMTECH CELEBRATES 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF BAPU ON OCTOBER 2, 2018
Whole world is going to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2018. Government of India and all state governments are starting year long celebrations on that day. His teachings of peace, non-violence, harmony, trusteeship, truth, respect to nature, frugality will be in focus. Being a Business School, we have inclusion, sustainability and entrepreneurial mindset included in our Vision Statement.
To commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Bapu, we are going to unveil a statue of him on October 2,2018 in our campus. It has been made by the famous sculptor from Bhubaneswar, Padma Shri Sudarshan Sahu. Yesterday we have received the statue of Bapu. It is being installed in front of the main entrance of our academic block.

Was happy to play host to the home coming or return to the campus one of the stars of PGDIRM – 2005-06 Batch, Amaresh Kumar.
Amaresh is presently Solution Architect/Principal Consultant in SAP systems in an Australian start up SEROLE.
Amaresh, who is a metallurgical engineer, was placed from the campus in Xchanging, a UK based Insurance organisation for their Gurgaon office. Subsequently, his career path took him through CSC, WIPRO and SAP itself. He had in the meanwhile, acquired extra certifications like FIII, Fellowship of CPCU, CII (LLMIT) etc.
In his career, he had undertaken SAP Insurance implementation for Lloyd’s Bank (UK), MEDI Bank (AUS) and is presently working on SAP implementation for EDELWEISS (India), on deputation.
Amaresh was delighted to visit his old haunts like his original class room C-6 (then C-5), Activity Plaza, lawns and the garden in the campus. He has expressed his grateful thanks to the faculty who have taught him and The Director Sir for their support for him throughout. As he has to fly out to Melbourne, where is settled now, Amaresh is very eager and looking forward to a VC interaction with BIMTECH’s Insurance students as early as he can. He also has a message for them: take your finance studies very seriously!

BIMTECH GREATER NOIDA, OCTOBER 8: BIMTECH recently celebrated its foundation day by organizing an 8-day gala event “SABRANG Utsav-a plethora of cultural and literary events” where in a host of renowned artists of the country are seen performing traditional and modern dance, music, recitals, fun and entertainment activities.
Sarang is a unique endeavour of BIMTECH to uphold art and culture. The institution celebrates the Birla legacy of traditions and knowledge in the form of 8-day long carnival of art, culture, values, society and knowledge termed as ’Sabrang Utsav’, conceptualized by Director H Chaturvedi.
