I am delighted to share with you that your alma-mater is going to launch an ambitious Social Campaign “Beti Hi Bachayegi” on Sunday October 2, 2016, i.e., 29th  Foundation Day of the institute.  The basic purpose of this long term  campaign will be connecting alumni, faculty and current students with  the national endeavour of women empowerment, women safety, girls’  education, gender equality and sustained improvement in sex-ratio  (females per 1000 males).

The Theme of the Campaign:  So far there has been a lot of publicity on the call given by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi about “Beti Bachao”  (Save Daughter) which has been endorsed by several state governments  and NGOs.  We are trying to give a new perspective to the whole issue by  renaming it “Beti Hi Bachayegi” (Only daughters will  save us!).  It means that if girls are provided good education and  health facilities, they can become a big “change-makers” in their future lives when they will be managing families as daughter-in-law, wife and mother.
