Hey Puys

I am putting up my GD/PI experience here.

Mine was on 11th FEB at hyderabad. Must admit that this was one of the most unsatisfactory GD/PI i have ever encountered.

Reached the Center at 8am and the registrations started at 8.30. we were asked to give a write up on the topic "Impact of 15th august on indian youth"

Like tvn47 mentioned just put down ur thoughts in a logical manner. After that GDs started according to the groups assigned. Each group had around 12 candidates and there were 4 groups. So i guess there were a total of 40 odd partcipants.

The topic given to our group was "Decreasing the Defense expenditure and increasing the Social Expenditure is the need of the hour"

The moderator was a Prof of the institute. he specifically told us that he will be looking at the following factors

Content
Clarity of Thought
Way of presentation
Leadership Skills
Team play

2 mins were given to think about it. But anybody can start if he/she has consolidated his thots. I Listened to some points from the candidates and contributed a couple of good ones myself. There were pretty good ideas coming from different candidates but it never became a fish market though a lot of cutting in happened.

At last a concensus was reached on by all the participants.

All the participants were asked to summarize(randomly) in 1 and a half minutes for each.

Was not at all satisfied with my performance :nervous:

nex came the PI round for which i waited for an hour. I asked the interviewers to prepone mine as i was not at all feeling well and wanted to get over with it, guess i was eliminated then and there

My PI was the last one before lunch break.

There was one lady and the GD moderator for the interview. It was mostly an HR interview with mostly questions regarding work experience

as i am from the IT background was asked what are the current trends in IT industry

little bit on family background and the kind of work i am handling.

to check creativity i was asked "what would be an unconventional use of the shell of a cocunut" for which i blabbed out something...

was asked bout my hobbies and some general stuff

In all not very satisfied as most of the expected qs were not even touched

Rest all is in GODs hands, Hoping for the best.

All the Best to all the Puys for the GD/PI

Hi!

Good to c all in action
I am Rahul one of the latest addition in Team Bimtech:hurray:
specially hats off to the seniors who are really active n philanthropic
enough to clear almost all the doubts.
Its a feel good factor to witness such a bonding and transparency
regarding the official website apart from the result day overload scalability issues, and constantly showing the root"sa" password "sunshine" of its admin server, I would say its quite lucid and easy to navigate, yes it would be a pleasure to extend our skills and make it the best one.
Have received the joining letter today, gt few queries

1)till what time are we allowed to use the library?
2)IN time of the GN hostel?
3)Internet speed(transfer rate) in the GN hostel n is there restriction on downloads?

warm regards

1. Library is open till 9 pm on weekdays n sat sun its 6 or 7 pm ..
2. IN time is 10 pm for GN hostel :frown:
3. transfer rate is quite ok -ok (only for surfin bt can irritate downloaders as its not gonna touch even 20 kbps here)will not say gud ..enugh as comparable to campus (where download can reach upto 3 mbps my own exp ) .. n ther is no restriction on ne downloads ..bt in campus lot of sites r banned and evn torent's dont work ..ther ..so tht speed is of no use for movie freaks ..:vamp:

BIMTECH has done all of us proud yet again with scaling new heights, getting the 15th rank all over India and more importantly 1st amongst Private B schools in North India, 4th in North India & 6th amongst private B schools in BT-Nielsen ranking of Indias top business schools

We all are aware of improving scenario at BIMTECH, be in terms of placements, facilities, industry interface, exposure to knowledge through some key associations, However getting industrys nod to the ever increasing and fruit bearing efforts is really commendable and speaks a lot about Director Sir and his vision.

BT-Nielsen ranked BIMTECH as 15th top business school in the country and a little more scrutiny through the rankings will reveal even more delighting fact of BIMTECH achieving 1st rank amongst private B schools & 4th rank amongst both private and government institutions in North India while we are the 6th best private institution in the nation

Another feather in the cap of BIMTECH added by featuring in top 10 institutions as rated by survey respondents for two categories Top of Mind & First Favorite, BIMTECH achieving 10th & 9th rank respectively.

When efforts are sincere and vision is strong, there is only one way to go and that is up! BIMTECH featured, as the 15th top business school is one of the fastest growing B school scaling six ranks up from last years 21 to reach 15 this year; In fact the only institution to achieve this distinct feat in top 15!

Heartfelt congratulations to Director Sir, management and the entire BIMTECH fraternity for achieving this feat and wishing to see this journey of success achieve even higher milestones

hi,
when do u have GD & PIs , if u cud mention dates ( approx.)
Hi Guys
i'm Hansveen...yet another student from Birla Institute of Management Tehnology....BIMTECH as they call it..I'm Ramit's batchmate....believe me the campus is amazing (doesn't look less than a resort)...i'm a 2nd year student here...
what do students look for before joining a b-school?? i think one thing which plays a very important role in making this decision is the placements scene of the college..............well, the magazine 'outlook' has ranked BIMTECH as the 12th best B-school...the college has a 100% placement record...the major recruiters inculde Kotak,Panataloons,LG,Godrej,ICICI Lombard, ICICI Prudential, naukri.com,HCL....the list goes on......the faculty is also learned and come from diff B-schools all over the country...guest faculties from industry also take lectures....the ambience of the college is very conducive to management studies...the course module consists of classroom teaching, workshops, presentations etc..well, all work and no play makes 'me' a dull girl...hr r a lot of off-academic activities....the institute has a tie up with SPIC - MACAY...for which cultural function and madhubani paintings workshop is held every year...since its a residential campus, all festivals r celebrated wid equal fervour....small things r given good importance here..just like at home, birthdays r celebrated...this place is now like a second home to us...the facilities provided take care of everything...fully air-conditioned campus (classrooms and hostel rooms), TVs and fridges in each apartment...separate rooms....wi-fi campus...24 hrs internet connectivity....all tht i've mentioned is just so less.....u cannot cum to knw unless u cum here.................................
u must be wondering as to y am i telling u all this ....this is because i hardly have 2 months more to spend in this campus...and i'm surely gonna miss it...so i just want to tell all u guys out thr..how nice it's been to be here...living wid ppl from diverse backgrounds...growing as an individual...i've learnt so much here...and i'll alwaz be indebted to this college for giving a boost to my personality.......
well..this isnt my last postwill keep u updated wid the latest happenings in the campus.keep rocking.
