please provide some info about the placement scene in the retail and the international business courses in bimtech

as i mentioned in my previous post...cut off for PGDBM is abt 80%..
but u can get a call for other courses as well....
so keep ur fingers crossed...

regarding ur preferences ...in courses..i wd suggest just dont go on cutoff/stats...
go for ur career interests..as all courses offered by BIMTECH...are very specific in their own sectors..like dbm retail insurance n ib......n placements for all r good...n 100%..

n BIMTECH is one of d pioneers in Retail Management...
so u can ur self judge its value....
placements r fabulous for retail...Giants like Reliance retail, Pantaloons,Madura garments,Titan,Shopper Stop...all r recruiters n list go on....
Infrastructure,campus n all is gr8....u name a facility n u hv it...
Rest u can check out in brochure...i wd say..y dnt u personally visit?...
GD topics r generic on current affairs, economics ..may be abstract topics etc.

hi everyone this is my first post...n before doing that i read through all 18pages..and it was really nice to read the wonderful experience of you guys in BIMTECH..
to all my seniours....i just want a small querry...i score above 80% in cat n preety sure for a call.... me into final year of my BE in IT.. n interested in PDGIB... but going through all the post i hardly get any info abt this feild... even on the website there is no news about the average salary regarding INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS... so please if anyone have an little possible knowledge do tell in....i will be thankful..

people out here have score even more than these...so thats really not a matter...
thinking abt two aspects tht u have 4 lakh offer in ur bag n tht u dnt wanna waste any more yrs...i wud suggest check out every detail of K.J somaiya and compare bfore taking any decision. Bimtech is good as well...
but boss you will have to take the call

@rimcollian_2001: Hey buds, Well, I am a senior from retail management course you are looking for and as for your questions! As far as the infrastructure is considered it rocks!! you will find all the basic requirements easily available to you...and the environment is really good over here. About the faculty it is good as well, apart from the resident faculty you have a lot of visiting faculty...people coming in from the industry it self and placement scene is already rocking at BIMTECH...last years batch was placed completely in a week, and our internships went well too... and as for gd/pi you should be aware of all the general happening...we can not predict the questions for gd/pi...but if you are away enough of your surroundings..then it should just do the trick :P

Help me out , i have applied for PGDBM , cat score 79 % , 3.5 yrs work exp in IT sector , BE with 67 % , 12th 83 % , 10th with 68 % , can i expect a call from bimtech.
Can you also tell date when results will be out.

i can understand your anxiety and tension. but calm down yourself ...you have fair chances for getting a call for GD/ PI.But after that everything depends on your performance in ur GD & PI rounds.

i have the same piece of advice for you too...
have pateince...you can expect a call....but in case you get a call perform well in GD PI...its crucial. a lot of application has come and belive me there are some real good students. so the competition is be tough.your BE qualification will help you...trust me on this!!

i have heard that a new boys hostel has been created outside the campus...with no transport facilities n also the facilities provided in that hostel are very poor compared to the previous one...is that true...n if yes are there any chances of improvement ....
